Shoutout to tenerife_climbing_house for the awesome facilities! Can't wait to come back and do it all again! Post-climbing BBQ was the perfect way to unwind, stuff our faces, and share some epic stories!

What a break! Our first foreign trip of 2026 was phenomenal! We sold out quickly and grabbed every climbing opportunity. Team Chalet took the lead with a breathtaking multi-pitch climb up La Catedrel. Stumbling upon El Rio, Arico, Los Naranjos, Tamadaya, and Fantasma was pure enchantment! The range of grades made it perfect for our entire group!

First month of the year and we've already kicked off our training courses in style! Huge thanks to luke_hunter_climbing for delivering an epic 'Sport Anchors' session on Tuesday . Your expertise and patience are greatly appreciated! We covered some key topics including types of anchors, threading anchors, equipment know-how, and safety awareness. Shoutout to bouldershack for letting us use their awesome walls for the training. Stay tuned for more course announcements on socials and our website!

As we come to the end of 2025, SCC would like to wish all the members a very happy new year!!

Unfortunately SCC members don’t receive any discounted rates for climbing at Parthian, but if you’re just coming to meet us and not climb then you don’t need to pay a penny.

SCC Overseas Meet 2025!
We went a bit further afield and adventurous this time - to the epic limestone cliffs of Vratsa, in Bulgaria. This place is huge! There is plenty of roadside single pitch sport cragging to be found, amazing steep lines through giant caves, and monster trad multi pitches. Many many hundreds of metres of rock were climbed, and abseiled (in the dark, eek), and the exposure and views from the ridge lines were really amazing. Even a few days of rain didn't dampen spirits - there was still plenty of exploring to do. We had such a good time!

Wye Valley August 2025. We love the lower Wye Valley and it was great to get back for a sunny weekend - long multipitch routes at Wintours, big trad pitches at Shorn Cliff and Wyndcliff, and the full range of sport crags as well. Such a great location! We had a fun weekend with plenty of ascents, campfires, and in situ anchor cleaning and refreshing. Another success!

The Big SCC Cornwall Meet 2025.
Every year we return to Cornwall for a week of sunshine, granite, cream teas and sea cliffs. Once again 2025 had a big turnout, (mostly) excellent weather, and was great fun from start to finish! Plenty of multi-pitch adventures and single-pitch test-pieces, big seas, sunset swims, and some excellent crack-technique training for those willing to suffer on the granite.

Gower! Plenty of gorgeous sunshine and beach days - we always love coming here!
