What a cracking day we had yesterday! ☀️

The sun was shining, the atmosphere was fantastic, and we welcomed over 200 people to our 20th Celebration Open Day.

A huge thank you goes out to all of our amazing club members who gave up their time to volunteer. Your hard work, enthusiasm and dedication helped the day run so smoothly, and we couldn’t have done it without you.

It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the club, having a go on the water, and celebrating this special milestone with us. Here’s to the next 20 years! 🚣🎉

Not long now until we celebrate 20 years of Trentham Canoe Club, come join us on Sunday to find out what we offer at the club, try some of our challenges on the land, or come join us for a paddle. We have got kayaks, canoes and Paddleboards running between 09:30 and 16:00, no pre booking required for these, just need to complete the form below. We are also sending out one of our crew boats every hour, these need pre-booking using the link below as well.

Frequently Asked Questions
1) If you complete the form before 12pm on Saturday 11th July you will receive an email explaining how to access the paddle sports without a garden ticket. Please note if you want to go around the lake and gardens you will need to enter via the garden entrance and purchase a ticket.

2) Minimum age is 8 years old, there is no top age limit.

3) Please bring a change of clothes including shoes you don’t mind getting wet and a towel. We have changing rooms and showers onsite in case you accidentally fall in. We also have storage areas for your bags while on the water.

4) All paddling and safety equipment is provided by the club. No personal boats/boards allowed. You may bring your own buoyancy aid, this will be checked by a club coach as not all buoyancy aids are suitable for paddle sports. If it’s not suitable you will be asked to use a club buoyancy aid

Still space available for our next 2 intro courses, our Sunday session course starts this coming Sunday 28th June. Our Monday night course starts on Monday 3rd August.

Also we are celebrating 20 years of Trentham Canoe Club this year, so on Sunday 12th July celebrate with us at the south end of Trentham Gardens, more info to come next week on what’s happening for this celebration 🎉

We are here all weekend at Middleport pottery canal festival offering paddleboarding sessions for £10 - come along and have a go!

Busy day for the club today, along with our regular Sunday morning sessions. Some of our members were representing the club at m.a.d.c.c Hasler wanting many points and medals for the club, while that was happening some of our other members were attending a 1 day outdoor first aid course hosted at the clubhouse, helping some of our newly qualified instructors tick off the final box to comply with standards of deployment. Well done everyone 👏

Big well done to Hadrian, Steve and Phil today as they each completed their Level 1 Dragon Boat Helm Award. Thank you to Josh Edward’s for your training and assessment of the guys. Everyone had lots of fun on the water, the weather was perfect and everyone earned their post paddle cake. Thank you also to all the club members who came down to fill the boats for them all
