💜 It is with the deepest sadness that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of our beautiful athlete and coach, Abbie.
There are simply no words that feel enough.
Abbie was a much-loved member of our Swindon Lightning family. Her kindness, infectious smile, unwavering encouragement and love for cheerleading touched the lives of so many athletes, coaches and families over the years. She brought so much light to our gym, and her loss has left us all heartbroken.
Our thoughts, love and deepest condolences are with Abbie’s family and loved ones during this unimaginable time.
With the blessing of Abbie’s mum, we will be opening our doors on Sunday for anyone who would like to come together to remember and celebrate Abbie.
💜 5:30pm – Shimmer athletes and their parents
💜 6:00pm onwards – All current and former athletes, coaches, families and friends are welcome.
There is no agenda—just a space to be together, share memories, write messages for Abbie’s family, and remember the incredible young woman who meant so much to us all.
If you would like to, please wear bright cheerwear or Swindon Lightning kit from over the years in honour of Abbie’s love for cheerleading and to reflect the bright, joyful personality she shared with everyone around her.
Above all else, this evening is about our love for Abbie.
We love you so much! Forever a part of our Lightning family. 💜🖤
