🏌️‍♂️💙 90 HOLES IN ONE DAY FOR DEMENTIA 💙⛳️

On Friday 18th June 2027, our very own Cameron Bolton Caulfield will be taking on an incredible challenge — playing 90 holes of golf in ONE DAY here at Torquay Golf Club!

Cameron previously completed 72 holes in one day to raise money for prostate cancer, and this time he is going even further in memory of his much-loved Grandma, who sadly passed away after suffering with dementia. ❤️

He will be raising money for Dementia UK, helping families affected by dementia.

💙 90 holes. One day. One very special reason.

If you would like to support Cameron, you can make a donation here:

👉 DONATE TO CAMERON'S JUSTGIVING PAGE:

Every donation, big or small, will mean the world to Cameron and his family. ❤️

Good luck Cameron — we’ll be behind you every step (and every hole!) of the way! 👏⛳️

🏆 FINALS WEEKEND 🏆

What a fantastic Finals Weekend! ⛳️

The Ladies’ Knockout Finals saw some very close matches, with many being decided on the last putt on the 18th! One match even went all the way to the 20th hole! 😮‍💨👏

Our Mixed Match was won by Helen & Mike Jones, after reaching the Final an incredible four times! 🏆👏

Our prize presentation was well supported, with plenty of happy faces from all our runners-up and prize winners. 🥂🏆

A lovely afternoon celebrating everyone’s achievements and a brilliant way to round off Finals Weekend! 💙⛳️

⛳️ Inaugural Solheim Cup 2026 at Stover 🇺🇸

What a fantastic day of golf, fun and friendly rivalry was had by the golfers of Torquay and Stover at our inaugural Solheim Cup 2026!

Our team of 20 proudly represented the USA 🇺🇸, turning up in spectacular Stars and Stripes outfits and certainly making an impression on the course. Stover took on the role of Europe 🇪🇺, and what followed was a closely fought series of matches, with Europe eventually securing victory by 132 points to 108.

There was also an unforgettable moment for Sally Spokes, who came remarkably close to having a very expensive day! Her drive finished just inches from the hole — thankfully, she was rewarded for her spectacular shot by being named Woman of the Day and receiving the coveted 2026 Solheim Cup key ring. 🏆

The rivalry will continue in 2028, when Torquay will host the next Solheim Day. This time, we’ll swap sides and proudly represent Europe 🇪🇺 as we look to reclaim the trophy!

A huge thank you goes to Stover Golf Clubs Sarah Hoff and our own Lady Captain Linda Green for all their hard work organising such a wonderful day. It was a brilliant occasion, enjoyed by everyone, and we’re already looking forward to 2028! ⛳️

⛳️ A HUGE thank you from our Junior Captain, Sothea Kasparis! ⛳️

What an incredible Captain’s Day at Torquay Golf Club! Sothea set out with two major goals: welcome new junior girls to the game and raise vital funds for Combat Stress, a veteran mental health charity.

Safe to say, both were a massive success! 🎉

🏌️‍♀️ Girls Into Golf: With help from England Golf’s Girls Golf Rocks initiative, Pro James Urquhart, volunteers, and Sothea’s Devon U18 teammates, we welcomed 17 new girls under 18 for a 2-hour coaching clinic and lunch!

🏆 Main Event: Players of all ages and abilities took on our 14-hole Texas Scramble, battling it out for some fantastic (and quirky!) prizes.

💙 Fundraising: Thanks to the unbelievable generosity of our members, we smashed our 4-figure target and raised a staggering £1,595 for Combat Stress!

Congratulations to all our winners and a massive thank you to everyone who played, helped out, and donated. Let’s keep this momentum going for the rest of the season! 👏

⛳ A huge thank you to everyone involved in our Citizens Advice Charity Golf Day on Thursday 3rd September! 💙

We had such a fantastic day. The weather stayed fine, we celebrated an incredible hole-in-one from Jim Scott during the Beat the Pro challenge on the 18th, and — most importantly — we raised well over £5,000 for a wonderful cause! 🙌

Thank you so much to all our volunteers, the staff at Torquay Golf Club, everyone who bought raffle tickets, and all those who played in the competition.

For over 85 years, Citizens Advice Torbay has supported local people through some of life's toughest challenges, helping resolve more than 17,000 issues every year covering housing, debt, employment and family problems. The money raised from the day will help continue supporting this vital service. 💙
