What a fantastic day at Churston Golf Club!

The hot, tricky conditions made for a tough test yet again, but Torquay juniors were awesome!

* Picked up a valuable point in the scratch matchplay
* Finished 2nd on the day
* Player Spotlight: A special shoutout to Katie Loader, who put on an outstanding performance in her very first JSDL match, scoring an impressive 39 points!

We move on to the next and final fixture of 2026, which takes place right here on home turf at Torquay on 6th September.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and took part in our Seniors Men vs Seniors Ladies Match today Friday 14th August! 🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️

Great weather, great company and, most importantly, great fun! ⛳☀️

Unfortunately, it wasn’t quite such a great result for the ladies! 😂 The men took the win 6–5, with the match going right down to the wire and the outcome decided on the last hole of the last team!

It was brilliant to see such a great crowd come along and enjoy the show, with many people even bringing along their original eclipse glasses from 1999! 😎

🏆 LADIES’ 36-HOLE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP 🏆

Yesterday saw our Ladies’ 36-Hole Club Championship Medal Competition, with 14 ladies taking part in some very hot and dry conditions! ☀️⛳

It was a fantastic day enjoyed by all, with everyone coming together afterwards for the prize giving and celebrations. 🥂👏

⛳️ JUNIOR OPEN 2026 RECAP ⛳️

What a day at Torquay Golf Club! The conditions were incredibly tough out there… dry, fast, bouncy, and hot ☀️🔥 but, just shy of 80 juniors stepped up to the challenge with plenty of great prizes up for grabs!

🏆 Junior Open Champion: A massive congratulations to Torquay Golf Club’s own Finlay Margetts! Finlay is on fire at the moment, bringing home 44 points to take the title on a count back against Rebecca Robb from Portmore Golf Club. Fantastic playing, Finlay! 👏
🥇 Scratch Trophy Winner: Huge congratulations to Mason Seaward, who fired a fantastic gross 70 (34 points) to win the esteemed Scratch Trophy by just 1 shot!

🙏 A huge well done to Junior Captain Sothea Kasparis who is driving the agenda of getting more girls playing golf in her captaincy year. There was a great turn out of girls this year, supported very much by the Devon Girls County team 🙏

A wonderful day was had by all at our Lady Captain Linda Green 's Captain's Day! 🌸💐

The course was filled with colour as the ladies embraced the floral theme, making for a fantastic day of golf, laughter and plenty of fun. The celebrations continued into the evening, where the famous Dancing Grannies stole the show with their spectacular performance, providing the perfect finish to a truly memorable day. 💃✨
