This Saturday, Torquay Golf Club 's SDL team takes on Dainton Park Golf Club at home, with the first tee time at 12:30pm.

🏌️‍♂️ PALAIRET TEAM THROUGH TO ROUND 3! 🏌️‍♂️

We are absolutely delighted to share that our Palairet Team secured a fantastic victory yesterday in their 2nd Round match against a very strong Tavistock side.

The match was played at Thurlestone Golf Club, where the coastal conditions proved incredibly challenging, with strong winds testing both teams throughout the day. Despite the tough weather and quality opposition, our players showed tremendous skill, determination, and team spirit.

Torquay secured victory by winning the first three matches out of five, with vital points coming from:

🏆 James Thompson & Keith Thompson

With the result already secured, the remaining matches featuring Andy Copping & Howard Carter, and Ben Raven & Pete Raven, were declared halved.

A huge thank you must go to our incredible supporters. Seeing so many members out on the course, cheering the team on in such difficult conditions, made a massive difference and undoubtedly helped carry the team over the line.

The team now progresses to Round 3, where they will face Ilfracombe on Sunday 5th July. The venue is still to be confirmed, and we will share details as soon as they are available.

This was a brilliant squad performance from everyone involved. Congratulations to all of our players and thank you once again to everyone who came along to support the team.

🤖⛳BIG THINGS ARE HAPPENING AT TORQUAY GOLF CLUB⛳🤖

We're delighted to announce that Course Manager
Chris Needham and the team at DGM are currently installing state-of-the-art robotic technology on our driving range!

These cutting-edge robots will be responsible for mowing and ball collection, helping to make our range operations safer, more efficient, and more reliable than ever before. They'll also play a key role in reducing long-term operating costs, allowing us to continue investing in the facilities our members and visitors enjoy.

This is a fantastic example of the club embracing innovation and looking ahead to the future! 🚀

🎉 But that's not all...

Our Lady Captain, Linda Green, will soon be asking our juniors members for their suggestions to help NAME our new robotic recruits! Keep an eye out for details and get your thinking caps on... what should we call them? 🤔

First played for in 1948, the Mixed Savage Salver remains one of the club's most cherished competitions, and this year's event was another fantastic success.

⛳B TEAM MATCH RESULT SATURDAY 30th MAY🏌️‍♂️

A fantastic afternoon for the Torquay B Team as they secured a superb 6–1 victory at home to Churston Golf Club! 🏆

The boys delivered an excellent performance from start to finish, combining great golf with true team spirit to earn an impressive result against a strong Churston side.

🏅 Man of the Match: Dave Kenward

Dave produced two outstanding putts at crucial moments, helping drive the team to victory and earning a well-deserved Man of the Match award.

A superb team performance saw Torquay secure a 4.5–2.5 away victory against a strong Churston Golf Club side. The lads battled hard throughout and showed great determination to come away with the win. 👏⛳

A result built on teamwork, commitment and some excellent golf from everyone involved.

What an incredible day for Torquay GC juniors at the Junior Devon Championships!

Played over 36 holes, medal play at Honiton Golf Club we had representation in every category. 👏

Not only did we have amazing representation, we had winners!

💪 Stan Austin taking the best Nett for the boys
🙌 Sothea Kasparis the best Nett for the girls
👏 Luca Impey best Gross and Nett for the U14’s category
🏌️‍♂️Top 10 finish for Harry Smith

And last but certainly not least… George Kasparis took the Justin Rose qualifier for his 1st round performance which included a HOLE IN ONE ☝️ on the par 3 12th!

To say we are proud of the Torquay juniors is an understatement. Onwards and upwards!
