The First XI host title-chasing Townville today in another huge Premier League fixture. After last week’s fantastic victory, the lads know another win today could go a long way towards securing Premier League cricket at Town Street next season. 💚

The Second XI are on the road, heading to Bowling Old Lane, looking to put an end to a run of games where the results just haven’t gone our way in some really close encounters. Time to turn those narrow defeats into points!

A huge congratulations to our very own Sarah Pollard, who has been on international duty again this week, scoring in the England vs Pakistan Test Match 👏

This was Sarah’s first time scoring the England Men, having only last month been behind the scorebook for the England Women at Lord’s during the World Cup Final!

But let’s be honest — as impressive as scoring for England is, we all know where Sarah really prefers to be keeping the numbers ticking over….Town Street! 💚

Thankfully, England wrapped things up in double-quick time, meaning Sarah will be back tomorrow for our clash against Townville.

Looking for something fun and active for the school holidays? Our professional coach Kieron Holliday is running a fantastic 3-day Summer Cricket Camp at Carlton Cricket Club from 18th–20th August, 10am–3pm each day. Girls and boys welcome, with hard-ball cricket experience preferable. Cost is just £20 per day per child, with drop-off available from 9:30am.

🟢🏏 Saturday Results 🏏🟡

The First XI came away with a fantastic 19-point victory on the long trip to Bradford & Bingley. Carlton were bowled out for 224, before the lads produced an excellent bowling and fielding performance to dismiss B&B for 193 and secure another valuable win in the fight for Premier League survival.

There were plenty of standout performances, with Syed Aqib Shah top-scoring with 57, while Naveed Malik added a valuable 37 and Dan Ford finished unbeaten on 27. With the ball, Kevin McDermott took 3-27, supported by Matthew Smith (3-44) and James Glynn (2-49).

The Second XI unfortunately fell to defeat at home to Sandal, who posted 195-9 before Carlton were bowled out for 140. There were still some individual highlights, with James Cooper leading the way with a battling 50, while Tom Ward produced another excellent spell, taking 5-26. 💚🏏

The Sunday Development Team are back in action today as they travel to Colton, looking to bounce back from last week’s defeat.

Another great opportunity for the youngsters to get some valuable match experience and continue their development.
