We’ve only been running our gala for the last 3 years but they’ve won them all through the age groups.

Even playing in the Sahara desert didn’t deter them 🐫

What a weekend! 💙🤍

Our 3rd ever Alverthorpe Juniors FC Gala was a huge success, and we couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve achieved together.

It was fantastic to welcome teams from Doncaster, Sheffield, Hull, Goole, York and the surrounding areas. The atmosphere across the whole weekend was brilliant, and we’ve received some amazing feedback from players, coaches and parents about how well organised and enjoyable the event was.

For a club that’s only hosting its third gala, the turnout, support and positive comments have been incredible. It’s a testament to what can be achieved when everyone pulls together.

A massive thank you goes to every single volunteer, coach and parent who gave up their time before, during and after the event. From setting up pitches, parking cars and running refreshments to refereeing, tidying up and everything in between, events like this simply wouldn’t happen without you. Your hard work is what makes our club so special.

Most importantly, the profit raised helps us continue a tradition we’re incredibly proud of. Each year, we aim to help fund a trip away for our two oldest teams as a reward for their commitment and dedication. Last year, that was our U15s and U14s Blues, and we’re determined to keep this tradition going for future generations of Alverthorpe Juniors players.

Thank you to everyone who attended, supported the club and helped make this year’s gala one to remember.

Blues U15s Team Day Out! 💙⚽🎾

The lads had a fantastic day out, starting with a padel tournament at Pukka Padel Leeds before heading over to Football World for a match.

It was brilliant to see the boys mixing into different teams throughout the tournament, enjoying themselves, working together and creating some great memories.

A huge thank you to both businesses for their incredible generosity in giving our team a free football session and half-price padel. Support like this means so much to grassroots clubs like ours.

It allows us to offer our players new experiences while keeping costs to a minimum for parents, making days like this possible.

We believe there may be three different individuals involved, with the two shown together believed to be a male and a female.

Sadly, Alverthorpe Juniors FC has now suffered four attempted break-ins this year, two of which were successful. We do not keep cash or valuables on site, yet this latest incident has caused damage that will cost the club more than £10,000 to repair.

Our club is run entirely by volunteers and provides a safe, positive environment for over 200 local children to enjoy football. Every pound spent repairing unnecessary damage is money that should be going towards supporting our players and improving the club.

Please help by sharing this post as widely as possible. If you recognise anyone pictured or have any information that could help identify those responsible, please get in touch with us or contact the police. Ideally severed hands in a plastic bag would be preferred!

⚽🏆 Alverthorpe Juniors FC 25/26 Presentation Night 🏆⚽

What a fantastic few days celebrating another brilliant season. The hard work behind the scenes is always worth it when you see the smiles on the players’ faces as they collect their trophies and celebrate their achievements.

Presentation Night is about more than just football. It’s an opportunity to recognise the commitment, dedication and support of not only our players, but also the parents, coaches, volunteers and committee members who help make this club what it is.

As always, our raffle was a huge success thanks to the incredible generosity of those who donated prizes. Together, we raised an amazing £2,048 through raffle ticket sales. This support is invaluable and allows us to continue investing back into our players, teams and club.

Our next major event is our Annual Gala at the end of July, and we need your help! 🫵 Whether you can spare an hour, half a day or the whole day, every bit of support makes a difference. As many of you know, we aim to use as much of the gala profits as possible to help fund trips away for our oldest age groups, but we can only do this with the support of our volunteers.

A huge thank you to all our players, parents, coaches, volunteers and committee members for your hard work and dedication throughout the season.

🗼⚽🌊 WHAT A WEEKEND FOR OUR U14s BLUES! 🌊⚽🗼

Our U14s Blues have just returned from an unforgettable long weekend in Blackpool, packed full of football, fun, and memories that will last a lifetime.

From competing in a fantastic football tournament to enjoying the water park, amusements, and spending quality time together as a team, the boys had an amazing experience both on and off the pitch. More importantly, they created memories and friendships that will stay with them for years to come.

As a club, we were proud to help fund this trip using profits generated from last summer's Gala. Giving back to our players and creating opportunities like this is something we are passionate about, and we are determined to continue doing so in the future.

This is exactly why the support we receive with fundraising events, our annual Gala, and Presentation Day is so important. Every pound raised helps us invest back into our children, creating experiences and opportunities that go far beyond football.

A huge thank you to all the coaches and parents who gave up their time and worked so hard to make this weekend possible. Your commitment and support are greatly appreciated.
