It’s messages like this that remind us exactly why we do what we do.
Oscar first walked through our doors as a young boy. Today, he’s leaving for university carrying far more than boxing skills. He’s taking confidence, resilience, discipline, friendships and the belief that he can overcome whatever life puts in front of him.
Knowing he’ll continue his boxing journey at university is something we’re incredibly proud of. This has never just been about creating boxers—it’s about helping shape good people who are ready for the next chapter of their lives.
To Oscar, we’re proud of the young man you’ve become. To your family, thank you for trusting us with a small part of your journey.
This is the true power of community boxing. One young person at a time, building stronger futures both inside and outside the ring. 🥊❤️
It was a long time coming for George Gilbert, but what a moment it was. 🥊
His hard work, patience and dedication have finally led to his first competitive contest. A fantastic young man who gives everything and continues to grow with every challenge.
This is just the first chapter of what promises to be an exciting journey.
“Success comes to those who refuse to give up.”
Watching Chris and Carlo work together is a reminder of the power of love, patience, and belief. Carlo has severe autism, but in this gym there are no limits—just opportunities to grow, learn, and succeed.
Every session builds confidence, every round strengthens their bond, and every achievement is a victory worth celebrating.
This is what boxing is really about. 🥊❤️
Another busy weekend for West Herts ABC 🥊
At the Midlands Box Cup in Birmingham, Efe Memis produced a performance that left the whole arena in awe. A gallant, courageous effort from a young boxer who gave everything in the ring and earned a deserved standing ovation. To witness Efe being coached and cornered by his mum made it an even more special moment. The future is bright for this special talent.
Meanwhile, at a show in Luton, Biniyamin Khan showcased brilliant skills and growing confidence. A budding star with a huge future ahead.
Well done to both boys for their courage, effort and character.
“Talent gets you noticed, but heart and hard work make you unforgettable.” ❤️🥊
Different backgrounds. One team. One purpose. One family.
Because the greatest victories aren’t always won in the ring, they’re found in the confidence, friendships and memories built along the way. 🥊❤️
A huge shout out to three of our young champions 💫
Safa Hafiz, showing tremendous courage and composure in her debut skills contest. Her smile was contagious from start to finish and lit up the whole day. Safa enjoyed every moment and represented the club brilliantly.
Biniyamin Khan, stepping up not once but twice, taking part in two contests on the same day, a fantastic achievement for a young boxer.
And Harry Quin, whose lion heart and determination inspired everyone watching, proving that courage and character go hand in hand.
Everybody wants the reward. Few are willing to embrace the process.
Yesterday wasn’t just about training punches and footwork—it was about learning the history of greatness. 📚🥊
Coach Cansu spent time reading and sharing stories with grassroots boxers about two of the sport’s greatest icons: Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson. Their journeys remind us that boxing is more than physical strength; it’s about discipline, resilience, self-belief, and continuous learning.
Great leaders are always learners, and great fighters never stop growing. By understanding the struggles, sacrifices, victories, and lessons of those who came before us, young boxers can build not only stronger skills but stronger character.
As a coach and mentor, Coach Cansu believes that boxing is not just about creating champions in the ring, but about developing leaders in life.
Learn from the past. Lead in the present. Inspire the future. 🥊🔥
