Ray is a product of our junior section and represents the third generation of the Alston family to pull on an Aspull shirt. After more than 12 years at the club, he’s now making the exciting step into senior rugby – a journey built on commitment, hard work and a genuine love for the game.

Away from the club, Ray is also studying at the College of Rugby, developing his understanding of the sport both on and off the pitch. His dedication to improving himself reflects everything we want to see in our young players.

Aspull RFC U9s (Year 4 after summer holidays)
🏉 Contact Rugby! 🏉

We're welcoming new players to our U9s (Year 4) team at Aspull RFC! Whether you've played Rugby Union, Rugby League, or have never picked up a rugby ball before, everyone is welcome to come along and give it a try in a fun, friendly environment.

Aspull RFC is the only club in the Wigan area with a team in Year 4 (current Year 3 until end of summer holidays) making it the perfect place for young players to develop their skills and confidence. The season runs from September-April.

The players are currently learning how to play contact a season before our league counterparts, so it is perfect for those who wish to play both Union and League.
