We got off to a winning start in our 2026/27 campaign against a resilient Wigan side, full credit to the boys.. they were outstanding in the second half and came out worthy winners in the end!

Our Open Age team also got off to a great start in their first game back at the Trust, with a dominant performance against Spring View. That makes it 2/2 in the top division, as full focus now turns to a tough trip away to the champions next weekend!

A short tribute, to my Grandad 🖤🤍

I am deeply saddened to share that my grandad, and a big supporter of this football club has sadly passed away.

He was someone who never failed to light up a room, my grandad was the biggest part of why myself and all my cousins growing up would gather round to throw darts together. And that has kept us close for life.

That’s something that always brought us together. Looking back, that togetherness has never faded, even when we grew older.

You could still turn up, at any time or any given day to have a chat and throw some arrows with my grandad. He was always there.

He always had open arms for those around him and it’s something a lot of us can learn about.

He was a massive lover of sport. Rugby being the biggest, maybe darts, but his passion always shone through for Pemberton FC.

And I was always greatly appreciative of how much he listened, and cared for what I was trying to do.

He was always forever proud, no matter what, of us as his grandchildren.

He has been there supporting us countless times on a cold weekend, surrounding by his family as he roared on Pemberton FC.

My grandad was a big supporter of Pemberton. But he was an even bigger supporter of his family, friends & those around him.

He will be greatly missed by all. Sleep tight, Grandad John 🪽

FT: Pemberton 5-6 Cherrybrook U21

It was a great game to watch tonight as a neutral, both sides scoring some good goals and good minutes being spread across all 19 lads pulling on the Pemberton shirt.

A big shout out to the 5 open age lads who came in to bolster the team, they brought good experience to the lads and it’s a huge positive seeing the club in this environment.

Some top performances all across the pitch from our lads, they should be really proud of the fight they put up against a title contending U21 side 🙌

Couldn’t be any prouder of the boys tonight.

The toughest test of pre season awaits for Pemberton Youth as we face U21 side Cherrybrook down at Laithwaite Park this Wednesday ⚔️

The boys are more than up for this, with us adding a few experienced players to the side to bolster us on the evening.

It’s a local tie with plenty of connections all over the pitch, and it would be great to see the sideline full for this one 🗣️

FT: AFC Botanical 2-1 Pemberton

Another pre season run out for the boys in today’s game, we struck first with some neat play finished off by Elliot.. two mistakes then led to them scoring their 2 of the game, which was a bit disappointing for the boys.

All in all, plenty of positives to take with no keeper and a few key players missing.. it was great to see another three Pemberton Youth Players stepping up for the first team 💫

Well done to both David Allen & Kenzie Ashcroft on their debuts!

But a big congratulations to our man of the match, 16 year old, Archie Brennan! A great display full of energy and Archie really has no fear when he’s on his game, it’s a great moment for the club seeing our young players shining
