Billy Butcher on only his second run back from a lengthy layoff puts in a good performance to finish a staying on 2nd at Worcester today.

Patience thankfully paying off for his owner Doug Bradbury who waited 2 years to see Billy back on course after picking up a tendon Injury back in the Autumn of 2024.

Troy Story ran at Uttoxeter on Sunday….

It was a step in the right direction following his first run over hurdles in September … he still needs to learn to settle and will likely run again sooner rather than later.

He’s still learning and I think it’s still going to take a minute for him to drop the bridle and settle properly.

He seems to take his racing very well … and has come out of his Uttoxeter run fresh …

It would be nice to see him settle more again next time out. 🤞

He made a mistake two out on Sunday and that seemed to take the wind out of his sails a little and Lee wasn’t too hard on him following that but we felt it was progress following his Worcester run… and so long as we’re either making progress or learning something - I’m happy….

If we’re talking all things Spice girls … (I don’t know as we were to be honest)
Then : ginger spice (Simon) and posh spice (In the Post) have left the Worcestershire stage to perform elsewhere.

Exit stage right… 👉 or left; if you’re that way inclined.

Posty has returned to Dylan Cunha Racing LTD and Simon has returned to his big holiday field to sit out any further performances with the band until Xmas/The New year….

I think the celebrities call it going on a wellness retreat when what they mean is rehab. 👀

Simon needs a bit longer to grow and strengthen up so that’s exactly what he’s going to get.

Posty will be performing at a racecourse in the not too distant future… and hopefully performing well.

In The Post and Africa Charm after an away day on Wednesday.

Posty is on the cusp of returning to Dylan Cunha Racing LTD where he’ll likely have a spin or two on the flat before going over the sticks, he’s taken to hurdling very well so fingers crossed he translates that to the racecourse … Dylans horses are running well and hopefully Posty can keep the theme going.

Africa has her last scheduled 🙏🏻 scan next week to see whether there are any changes in that tendon she rumbled last year after we’ve stepped her up again... externally it’s unchanged but I’d like to be doubly sure before we plough on.

It’s nearly a year ago today that she won first time out over hurdles at Stratford… the mare that sealed the double that day for Henry won again last week. ‘Babs’ …

I really hope we can get her back to the track as I’m sure there are plenty more races to be won with her under the guidance of Henry Oliver.
