Veterinary Surgeon. West Yorkshire. £38k - £60k DOE.

The Independent Difference

The vision here is refreshingly simple: providing top-tier clinical care to the local community without the pressure of a boardroom looking over your shoulder. As an independent, RCVS-accredited nurse training practice, the focus is on doing what is right for the pet and the owner, not hitting monthly targets. With over 100 years of combined experience across a friendly team of five, there is always a mentor nearby to talk through a complex case or offer a second opinion.

A Modern Practice
While the values might be traditional, the equipment is anything but. The practice is fully loaded for the curious clinician, featuring flexible and rigid endoscopy, digital radiography, and Doppler ultrasonography. Because dermatology, cardiology, and advanced surgeries (like TTA, MPL, and BOAS) are managed in-house, clinicians enjoy total continuity of care and a supportive learning environment where skills actually grow.

The Lifestyle Balance
The schedule is designed to let you truly breathe. A 4.5-day week is standard, with a 1-in-5 Saturday rotation, and no OOH’s. Even better, the Friday after a worked weekend is a half-day, ensuring that "work-life balance" is more than just a buzzword.
Splitting your time between the two branches offers a rewarding mix: consults and surgery at Yeadon, and consults only at Pudsey. While an experienced vet would be preferred, a kind, empathetic, and a genuine team player matters just as much.
Nestled between the two branches, you’ll enjoy the very best of the region.

The Package
Salary: £38,000 – £60,000 (DOE) plus a monthly bonus scheme.
Support: Full GDP mentorship for new graduates, plus VDS/RCVS fees covered.
Perks: Simply Health insurance, pension, and staff pets treated at cost price.
CPD: Fully funded and actively encouraged.
Leave: 30 days including bank holidays.

So, what’s next?

Sunshine, Community, and a Veterinary Practice Ready for Its Next Owner — Saskatoon, Canada

What if your next move combined practice ownership with a better quality of life, a supportive community, and the excitement of building on the foundations of a much-loved veterinary clinic?

After 30 years of caring for pets and building trusted relationships within the community, the current owner is preparing for retirement, creating an exciting opening for someone new to step in and take this thriving clinic to its next level.

A nearby veterinary clinic has recently closed, leaving many local pet owners searching for a new trusted practice. There is also additional growth opportunity as the building next door is currently up for lease, formerly occupied by a pharmacy and doctor’s office, offering exciting expansion possibilities for the future owner.

One of Canada’s sunniest cities, Saskatoon perfectly blends vibrant city living with easy access to nature and outdoor adventure.

Whether you are an ambitious veterinarian looking for ownership, a family seeking a better lifestyle, or a group wanting to expand into a growing market, this opportunity offers the perfect mix of stability, heart, and future potential.
