Day trip to Knaresborough
🗓️ Saturday, 1st August
⏰ 9.30-4pm (you can decide to come back earlier)
Cost: Your own train tickets about £8 with a railcard discount.
We are organising a day trip to Harrogate. Come to explore the beautiful Yorkshire town. There is also a free garden party on the day at the Harrogate Valley Gardens, where you can enjoy some music.

Picnic & Games in Rowntree Park
🗓️ Friday, 24th July
⏰ 1.30-3.30pm
📍Meet us at the Terry Avenue Gates of Rowntree Park
Bring some picnic food and join us to play some fun garden games: croquet, Kubb (a classic Swedish outdoor throwing game where teams take turns using wooden batons to knock down the opposing team’s wooden blocks), frisbee and so on. We will also provide some snacks!

Walk in the Yorkshire Countryside — Huggate

It will be a circular walk around 9 km, from Huggate that passed through dry valleys created around 18,000 years ago at the end of the Ice Age. These valleys, known locally as dales, are one of the highlights of the Yorkshire Wolds and lie between predominantly arable fields. （from AllTails)

Farm Visit Trip — Strawberry Picking

📍A local farm near Gate Helmsley
Cost: Your own strawberries picked from the farm
We are organising a visit to a local farm where we can pick fresh strawberries and enjoy tea & coffee. We will also visit one of our FI volunteer’s home nearby afterwards. We hope to provide lifts for you.
