Massage is a fundamental element of Systema training and it comes in a variety of forms.

We train to build ourselves and eachother up; to fortify the mind, temper the body and envigorate the soul.

It's been said that one of the key aspects of work with weapons is to see and understand the application of the weapon through 3 different lenses:
*as a deliberate weapon to defend against
*as the intended use of the object/ action (e.g. walking stick, knife, kick or strike etc)
*as a healing object/action

🌟The difference between each application and it's output then, lies in the intention behind it 🙏🌟

We are excited to be offering one-to-one Systema Massage during our next All-island seminar. If you've had one before, you'll know you're in for a treat 👊

We are now taking expressions of interest and there will be limited availability on the day. DM for more info and to book your session!

30min slots are available (for an additional fee) - it's a good opportunity to try it out Systema Massage if you've not had the chance before.

Our seminar is happening in just a couple of weeks (4th October)

Looking forward to seeing you there!

We are very much looking forward to our next annual all-island seminar, this year hosted in Wexford!
Our instructor for this year's seminar is Michal Okrajek of Systema Éire

With over two decades of experience across a range of martial arts and combat sports, Michal Okrajek’s journey began at the age of 14, studying styles such as Kyokushin Karate, Bujinkan Taijutsu, later on Muay Thai, and Judo, each one offering unique perspective of combat and the human body.

In 2015, he was introduced to , the ancient Russian Martial Art also known as 'Know Thyself'.
This discovery shifted his perception of martial arts and hand-to-hand combat. Unlike anything he had encountered before, Systema offered a holistic, intuitive approach that bridged the gap between physical technique, internal control, and psychological clarity.

In 2016, he travelled to Moscow to complete his instructor certification under Master Mikhail Ryabko at Systema HQ. Since then, he has continued training with some of the most respected teachers, including Vladimir Vasiliev, Daniil Ryabko, Vladimir Zaykowsky, Lev Ivanov, and Martin Wheeler, participating in international seminars and further deepening his understanding of the system.

Michal’s teaching focuses heavily on and , how our body and mind interact under stress, and how these principles apply not only in high-pressure scenarios, but in everyday life. For Michal, martial arts is not just about self-defense, it’s a path to , , and living with purpose.

There will also be the opportunity to book with Marcin Orłowski
- keep an eye on our socials for more info coming soon! Pre-booking is highly recommended. Dm for more info or send us an email to register!
All welcome 👊

That's a wrap for our latest annual seminar in Ireland, which we're celebrating as another successful event.
Huge thanks as always to everyone that attended and supports these opportunities, most especially for the great energy and attitude that you bring.

Massive thanks and congratulations to Guillermo Mallmann of for a wonderfully engaging and thought provoking seminar; from the creative approaches to the insightful instruction. We are all going home well stretched, worked and ready to face whatever challenges may come our way with a new level of badass mode activated 💪

As a short recap, we kicked off with some movement, breathwork, going to the floor and back up again. Then we played with fear through falling drills and explored ways to notice, override and recover from this.
The topic of fear was extended into groundwork, which gave great opportunity to try escaping from challenging and confined spaces when under threat. We then took this work to the wall to pressure test what we'd learned.
The day finished up with a deep compression partner massage, closing circle and evening social afterwards.
Top notch!

I'll leave you with the very deliberate perspective Guillermo shared with us over the weekend as a reminder of how important it is to know your intention for training:
"I'm not looking for a fight. I'll just do whatever I need to, to get back home"
If you're guided by that mantra, you won't go far wrong.

Looking forward to training with you all again soon 👊🙌

Still buzzing from last weekends seminar in London with hosted by
Great to catch up with some of the usual suspects & meet a few more of the Irish crew there too! ☘️👊

International seminars are a great way to experience a huge variety of training partners and styles of Systema.
It's such a creative, adaptable practice and that can really put some people off - with not enough structure and predictability to lean on - but what's beautiful about Systema as a martial arts practice is how everyone's version of it looks, feels and is expressed differently.

Much like your dialect; you might share commonalities with others within the same language, but your pronunciation, phrasing, prosody and even colloquialisms will be quite different depending on your filters and frame of reference. And that changes everything!

Contact time with the more experienced instructors is essential if you want to delve deeper into the practice and move beyond proficiency in physical literacy alone. It's a great way to calibrate your senses and sensitivity while developing intentionality in your practice.
How do you want your Systema to feel?
How do you not want it to feel?

👊 Just 3 weeks to go until our next all island seminar 👊

This time two years ago, we were in London with Academy to celebrate Vladimir 's return to in-person, international seminars since 2020.

Here, we announced the formation of the AISGP (Association of Irish Systema Groups & Practicioners) and our aim is simple; to create more opportunities on the island of Ireland to connect, share and grow in Systema.

Chris from Systema Wexford and Róisín from will be in London again next weekend for Vladimirs seminar, once again hosted by Matt Hill, so if you're going to be there, come say hi!

Two weeks after that, we look forward to welcoming from - one of three founding members of the AISGP - back to Ireland for his seminar "Self defense as a 360° strategy".

We have room for a few more participants on our October seminar in Dublin - Saturday 12th, 11am - 5pm.

There will be an evening meal and an optional Sunday morning session in nature too - DM or email for more info. Contact details on flyer.

Our early bird rate for this seminar has expired but there's still time to book and save a few €s off the price on the door.

About your instructor:
Guillermo Federico Mallmann was born in Argentina and is half German. His mixed heritage background means that he has comfortable command over several languages and has used these skills to translate at international seminars and training camps for globally acclaimed martial arts teachers.

As soon as he was old enough to move independently his father began training him in martial arts and by the time he was 8 years old was already highly proficient in stick, knife and hand to hand combat. At this time, he took up fi****ms training which he continued throughout his military service.

He has now accumulated over 30 years experience in Martial Arts including Choy Lee Fut, Tai Chi, Chin Na, Qigong, Sanda & Systema. Throughout his 20's, he remained undefeated regional champion within the competitive arena.

In 2016 he was introduced to Systema and began to study under a variety of instructors, attending his first camp in Canada in 2018, where he was awarded his Instructor-in-Training certificate by Vladimir Vasiliev.

His peers and students describe him as a kind, knowledgeable and intuitive instructor. He is wholly committed to learning through play as the most effective and accessible way of exchanging knowledge. This approach is evidenced as much through his relaxed teaching style, as by how quickly students understand and apply what they’ve learned.
