📊 Research Participants Needed – UCD PhD Study
Eline is currently conducting a PhD at UCD focusing on women’s health and wearable technology in active women.
This research explores an important issue: many wearable devices are designed based on male physiology, which may lead to inaccurate or misleading data when used by women during training and exercise.
We are currently recruiting active women who are either using the contraceptive pill or having irregular cycles (cycles longer than 35 days, or no periods) to take part in the study.
Participation is simple and will contribute to improving how technology understands and supports female physiology in sport and exercise.
If you are interested in taking part, or would like more information, please get in touch. Sharing this with others who may be eligible is also greatly appreciated.

This week Ireland is seeing some unusually high temperatures, and when the heat goes up, so does the importance of staying properly hydrated.
Even mild dehydration can affect your energy levels, focus, recovery, and overall performance — especially if you’re training, walking more, or spending time outdoors.
A simple rule for the next few days:
• Drink water consistently throughout the day
• Don’t wait until you feel thirsty
• Increase intake if you’re exercising or sweating more
• Add electrolytes if needed during longer or hotter sessions
Small habit, big impact on how you feel and perform.
Stay hydrated.

An industry obsessed with fitness has slowly become very good at serving people who are already “in it” — and surprisingly bad at reaching the people who actually need it.
The truth is, most people don’t struggle because they don’t know what to do. They struggle because the version of fitness being shown to them doesn’t fit their lifestyle, mindset, or starting point.
Not everyone is trying to optimise everything. Not everyone wants to train six days a week or track every detail of their nutrition. And that’s where the disconnect starts.
Fitness for most people is not a passion — it’s a tool. A way to feel better, move better, reduce pain, increase energy, and stay healthy long-term.
The problem is, the industry often designs, markets, and communicates for the already committed — instead of the people still trying to begin.

When we created the run club 8 months ago, some of our members could barely run 4k.
Now, we have people completing half marathons, running further, moving better, feeling stronger and genuinely enjoying the process.
What started as a small run club became a community where people support each other, push their limits and celebrate every win together. From first 5ks to long runs and race days, the progress has been unreal to watch.
A massive thank you to for the energy, knowledge and consistency every single week. The improvements in everyone’s running, confidence and mindset speak for themselves.
This is more than just running. It’s people becoming healthier, happier and more confident one session at a time.
