🕯️💙 SPA GAA – WAVE OF LIGHT 💜🕯️

This Thursday, 15th October, Spa GAA is proud to support the annual Wave of Light initiative, joining communities across Ireland in remembering babies who have sadly died during pregnancy, at birth or in infancy.

💜 From 7pm to 8pm, our community walking track at Spa GAA will light up to mark the occasion.

We warmly invite club members, families and the wider community to come along for a gentle walk or a quiet moment of reflection. Whether walking in memory of someone special or simply showing support, everyone is welcome.

🕯️ At 7pm, families across Ireland are also encouraged to light a candle as part of this nationwide initiative.

Organised by Feileacain Wave of Light and supported by Ár Réaltaí Beaga, the initiative also raises awareness of the campaign for a permanent memorial in Croke Park, recognising babies and children who have died and their place within the GAA community.

💜 Spa GAA is delighted to play our part in supporting this meaningful initiative and we welcome everyone to join us on Thursday evening.

Best of luck to our Spa U12 players Sean O’Brien, James Doody, Denis O’Donoghue, Ronan Carey and Fionn Mulligan, who will line out in the green and gold of Loughquittane NS in the Cumann na mBunscol 4/5 Teacher School semi-final tomorrow.

They take on Portmagee NS at 11am in Glenbeigh GAA, ably mentored by class teacher and Spa member John O’Donoghue.
