This morning we made the trip out to Kilfrush in our 4th league game. We started the game off well and controlled it and played some lovely passes. We took the lead on the 8th minute, when the ball was played to Trevor Hogans feet and he controlled it very well and slotted the ball into the corner. After that the game was very scrappy and sloppy from both sides for the remainder of the first half.

Second half started and 5 minutes in we made changes, with Sean Magil & Kane Troy coming on, to be fair changed the game in many ways. We began to take full control of the second half, we doubled our lead on the 55th minute when Sean Magil split their defense with a beautiful through ball to Kane Troy who slotted it passed the keeper. 7 minutes later we made it 3-0 with another goal from Kane Troy to double his tally. We were in full control of the game at this point and it got even better on the 75th minute when Martin Duggan received the ball in the box and turned and smashed the ball passed the keeper to make it 4-0. Martin Duggan doubled his tally also on the 87th minute with another well controlled and clinical finish. Overall it was a sluggish first half, but excellent second half from the lads which seen us come out 5-0 winners in the end.

That is 8 points from a possible 12 in the first 4 games, well done lads, onto the next one 🔴⚪️⚽️🙌

The B team played their second league game tonight away to Mungret C. The first 15 mins were scrappy from both sides. But on the 16th minute we took the when Trevor Hogan played a lovely ball over the top to Kane Troy who slotted the ball into the left hand corner to give us the lead. After that we were very sloppy for the next 15/20 mins and found ourselves 2-1 behind. The boys kept going and we found an equaliser from Dean Goga Quinn just before half time.

In the second half we were excellent, played some lovely football, and controlled the majority of it. We took the lead on the 49th minute when Trevor Hogan with another brilliant pass to Dean Goga Quinn who controlled it well and scored his 2nd goal of the game. We continued to control the game and played some lovely football. On the 72nd minute Calvin Kennedy passed the ball to Aaron Power from about 35 yards out and scored an absolute belter of a goal. Then on the 85th minute Kane Troy played the perfect ball over the top for Trevor Hogan to be put through 1:1 against the keeper but being the good team player that he is, he played Martin Duggan in to claim the goal and give Trevor his 3rd assist of the game. Overall a very good display from the lads tonight and a great 3 points gained.

Next up is an away trip to Bridge Celtic this coming Thursday the 27th August, 6:30 kick off 🔴⚪️⚽️🙌

2A Result:

Moyross B 1-1 Croom Utd

B team played their first league this evening against a very physical Croom side. The lads played some lovely football in the first half and found it difficult to break them down.

2nd half, we began very sloppy which led to an error from us and resulted in Croom taking the lead with a brilliant chipped goal. To be fair to the lads they kept battling till the end and got a well deserved equaliser with 2 mins to go from Dean “Goga” Quinn. Very unfortunate not to come away with all 3 points, but a draw was better than nothing in the end.

Next up is away trip to Mungret this Saturday at 6:30 kick off, again the support would be very much appreciated for the lads.

Just a reminder that Moyross B begin their league campaign tonight at home vs Croom Utd with kick off at 6:30pm. The lads have put in a lot of hard work throughout pre-season. We’re asking for everyone to come down and support the lads tonight and hopefully get the first 3 points on the board.

Moyross B begin their League campaign this coming Tuesday 18th August at home to Croom Utd. The lads have had a brilliant pre-season, putting in a lot of hard work to prepare for the new season ahead.

Last season was a struggle for the B team but they have regrouped this season with a lot of players coming back to the team along with some new signing to strengthen the squad.

We’re asking everyone to come up and support the lads on Tuesday 🔴⚪️⚽️🙌

Moyross B team are back for the for the 26/27 season with a newly formed Management of David Quinlivan, Mike Kiely & Anthony Quinn and also majority of the double winning team of 24/25 season are also back to hopefully get this team back to trophy winning ways🏆

The boys kick off there pre season with a friendly at tomorrow night at home against Summerville with a 6pm kick off, get down to support the boys as they have been working hard this pre season, exciting to see this new freshly team get important minutes into there legs and also see some silky football on display.

We kicked off our Divison 2A campaign with a trip to annacotty to take on there c team. With numerous players missing and both managers missing to other commitments, we had Barry Quinn and the help of Tyrone Fitzgerald who’s out due to suspension take charge but from the feedback we’re receiving he’s stress levels were trough the roof so that will be the end of that😀.

Nonetheless it was a huge 3 points to start the season off and the boys do themselves proud. We would also like to say well done to our new debutants David Quinlivan, Pj Molloy, Bubba Molloy, Damien Quinn, Glynn O’Dwyer and the return of Aaron Phillips.

Next up home is at home to Abbey Rovers on Tuesday with a 6.30pm kick off.
