🏆 Home International Regatta – London Docklands 🏆
An outstanding performance from the Ireland Junior Women's coxless four who stormed to victory at the Home International Regatta in London Docklands with a superb winning time of 8:16 over the 2,000m course.
The Irish crew produced a dominant race from start to finish crossing the line ahead of England Scotland and Wales to claim international gold.

Following a successful season Sean and Gosha headed to the NRC to compete in the club single and intermediate double scull events. First up was the club single for Sean and Gosha on Saturday. In temperatures hitting 28 degrees and in a highly competitive field of 61 scullers Sean came out top in the time trial going on to dominate the semi-final from start to finish and qualify for the final. Gosha, in his first championship event in a single scull finished a very creditable 36th place making significant gains since the last regatta. Sean came up short in the final missing out to the Lee sculler going to World championships in a few weeks and last years winner from UCC rowing club being pipped by 0.1sec for third place and less than 8 sec behind the winner.
Next up was the intermediate double scull on Sunday. Full of College and top club rowers who’ll be attending U23 international competition in a few weeks and against a strong head wind the lads finished a very respectable 9th place overall.
As always more race experience gained and lessons learned.

Well done to Katie and Edie in their A final of the Womens Junior 18 double scull at the National Rowing Championships.
The crew finished a very strong 4th position with the top two crews containing World Junior Championship athletes from Fermoy and Skibbereen and a top double from Methodist, and ahead of excellent crews from Bann and Athlone.
We'll done girls on your great row and well done to Fermoy RC on an epic win.

Championship weekend all roads lead to the National Rowing Center

Well done to all athletes who competed over the weekend. Thanks to Tony for towing and all involved in organising. Cork Regatta seen a large entry with 59 entries in the mens Div 1 single and 73 entries in the Men's Div 2 double. Some great racing by Gosha and Sean on Saturday. Sean winning the Division 1 Mens Club 1x single. Gosha and Sean winning their heat comfortably and winning the Div 2, Club 2 category being narrowly pipped at the line for the overall Division 2 double win by 0.3 sec. Another great weekends racing and valuable lessons learned.
