Canterbury has 4 teams - 3 in the city and one in Methven.

Our games are played in Spreydon Domain, next to the Christchurch Irish Society building, or in Methven

Always looking for more players, no age is too old, no experience is too little.
Plenty of ex rugby players and players with a 4 at the start of their age..

Get in touch with one of the clubs for a chat, especially if you are thinking of a move to the best city in the South Island..

New GAA Rules โ€“ 2026 Season Update ๐Ÿ
As we head into the new season, weโ€™ll be introducing the updated GAA men's football playing rules, adapted for 11-a-side competition.
These changes are designed to improve the flow of the game, enhance player safety, and create a more consistent experience across matches this season.
To support players, coaches, and supporters:
Club officials and referees will be on hand at games to help with interpretation
There will be a common-sense, educational approach early in the season
Questions and clarifications are encouraged โ€” please ask your club officials or referees at any time
We appreciate everyoneโ€™s cooperation as we transition into the new rules and look forward to a great season ahead.
Letโ€™s play hard, fair, and enjoy the football. ๐Ÿ’š

Hi All,
This Wednesday (26th) marks the final night of the Kids GAA social league, and weโ€™d love to see everyone who has taken part come along for one last evening. It would be great to capture a photo for the memories and share with the GAA back home what weโ€™ve been doing here. There might even be some ice creams for the parents!
Wednesday at 6pm โ€“ hope to see you there!โ˜˜โ˜˜โ˜˜
