Last Saturday, LPG took on Riccarton, who won the toss and opted to bowl first. Our innings saw Randika Disanayaka smash 39 runs, while Sijith Reddy contributed 28 runs and srikanth toomula 21 runs setting a strong target of 153 runs for 20 overs. In response, Riccarton lost two early wickets, but Liam Sullivan's aggressive batting earned him 22 runs. However, LPG's bowlers managed to contain them, dismissing them for 130 runs with 8 wickets down in 20 overs, securing a 23 - run victory for LPG. Yasir Amin delivered a brilliant bowling performance, taking 4 wickets for 16 runs in 4 overs, while Randika Dissanayake provided outstanding support with 4 overs for 8 runs. Nasir Amin was named Man of the Match.

Last Saturday, LPG faced marist Everest. Mariest everest won the toss and chose to bowl first. During our innings, srikaanth toomula smashed 55 runs ,And Harshana Nanayakkara scored his career best a solid 89 runs not out .
Towards the end of the innings, Randika Disanayake scored 36 runs,helping LPG reach a competitive total of 236.
In the second innings, mariest everest lost their first two wickets early. However, Ajay Shrestha played an exceptional knock of 108 runs, while Raj Kimar added a brilliant 44 guiding them past the target with their 4 wicket in hand.
In the bowling attack, Randika Dissanayake’ (2 wickets )and Nuwan Nilantha (1 wicket ) delivered an outstanding spell.
Man of the match is Harshana Nanayakkara for his brilliant knock of 89 runs.

Adithya Hits Career-Best Score
Last Saturday, LPG faced St Albans Superkings. St Albans won the toss and chose to bowl first. During our innings, Aditya Yadav smashed a remarkable 87 runs, marking his career-best score. Harshana Nanayakkara joined the momentum, contributing a solid 38 runs.
Towards the end of the innings, Thusitha Ubeysinghe (22) and Buddhika Wijesinghe (23)* added quick runs, helping LPG reach a competitive total of 233.
In the second innings, St Albans lost their first two wickets early. However, Harpinder Singh played an exceptional knock of 74 runs, while Shubham Bhardwaj added a brilliant 50, guiding them past the target with their last wicket in hand.
In the bowling attack, Randika Dissanayake delivered an outstanding spell, taking 4 wickets, while Aravind Negi chipped in with 2 wickets.
LPG fought hard until the very last moment, despite missing two of their main bowlers.

Back to back win for Lancaster Park Golds 🏏
Lancaster Park faced the Sumner D II team last Saturday.
LPG won the toss and elected to bowl first. All the bowlers made a strong comeback, with Aravind Singh Negi leading the attack by taking 3 wickets. Rasika Thilakaratne supported well with 2 wickets. They managed to bowl out the Sumner team for 141 runs.
Chasing the target of 142 looked comfortable as both Harshana Nanayakkara and Chandi Hewawitharana started aggressively and timed the ball beautifully, putting on an 85 run partnership. Afterwards, Rasika Thilakaratne joined in and smashed 24 quick runs.
Chandi Hewawitharana, who remained unbeaten on 59, was deservedly named Man of the Match.

We’re thrilled to announce that Lancaster Park Gold is back in form, securing a fantastic 4 wicket victory in their latest match! 🎉
After winning the toss, Lancaster Park decided to field first and that move paid off beautifully. 🎯 All the bowlers were on fire 🔥, especially birthday boy 🎂 Rasika Thilakaratne, who delivered an amazing spell ( 9 overs - 16 runs - 4 wickets)
On the other end, Aravind Singh Negi bowled brilliantly too, taking 3 crucial wickets. (9 overs - 24 runs - 3 wickets)Together, their efforts helped LPG bowl out SDCC for just 127 runs!
Chasing 128 wasn’t easy, as SDCC’s opening bowler Jordan Sealy struck early with 4 wickets . But Chandi Hewawitharana (20) and Srikanth Toomula (26) kept their cool and guided the team to victory. 🙌

Vale Ben Austin💔
As true cricket lovers, we are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Ben Austin, a 17-year old club cricketer.
Ben Austin tragically passed away after being struck on the neck by a cricket ball during training in Melbourne. He was batting in the nets ahead of a T20 match. Although he was wearing a helmet, it did not include a neck guard. He was rushed to hospital but sadly didn’t survive.

A Strong Start for Lancaster Park
Winning the toss, Lancaster Park Gold elected to bat first on a well-prepared pitch. The team got off to a steady start, building partnerships before Srikanth played a standout innings, scoring a composed 53 runs, his debut fifty for both the season and the club. His knock provided stability and confidence to the batting lineup.
Despite losing a few wickets in the middle overs, Lancaster Park fought hard to post a total of 194 runs, a target that promised to test Riccarton’s batting depth.
Lancaster Park’s Bowlers Strike Early
Defending 195, Lancaster Park’s bowlers came out firing. Randika Dissanayaka led the attack superbly, claiming 2 crucial wickets and putting Riccarton under real pressure early on. At one stage, Riccarton were reeling at 3 for 9, giving Lancaster Park a strong foothold in the game.
A Match-Winning Partnership
However, the match took a dramatic turn as Josh Susana and Reuben Love built an extraordinary 186-run unbeaten partnership for Riccarton. Susana played a phenomenal innings, scoring 121* not out, while Love supported him brilliantly with 61* not out.Their calm and composed batting took the game away from Lancaster Park and led Riccarton to victory by 7 wickets.
