Waikato Hockey Association provides an opportunity for absolutely everyone in the Waikato

05/06/2026

At this stage, Intermediate Hockey and Cambridge Mini Hockey will proceed as scheduled tonight (5 June 2026). We are aware there is a weather watch in place, which was updated at 2:00pm and has remained consistent since this morning.

Please refer to the Thunder and Lightning Policy should conditions deteriorate available on our website: https://waikatohockey.org.nz/resources-policies/

If weather conditions worsen—particularly in the case of heavy rain causing surface flooding—the decision to continue or abandon games should be made by umpires, coaches, and managers on site. If turf monitors are present at your venue, they may also assist with this decision-making.

We are hopeful conditions remain favourable so everyone can safely get back out on turf.

If you need to contact WHA regarding cancellations or any urgent matters, please use the contact below:

🏑 We’re BACK this weekend! 🏑

After a well-earned break over King’s Birthday, our Premier Reserve and Sunday Divisional grades return—and it’s all on with finals fast approaching! 🔥

⚡ Premier Reserve Men: Harrisons Solar Old Boys are flying with 3/3 wins, while the race for the top 4 is heating up behind them. Collegians keep their finals hopes alive with a big 5–2 win!

⚡ Premier Reserve Women: Fraser Tech remain unbeaten, but Te Awamutu are right on their heels. Hautapu continue to impress in their debut season, holding onto a finals spot heading into the final weeks.

🔥 Division 1 (Men & Women): It couldn’t be tighter—just 4 points separating entire tables in both grades! Every game matters with finals spots up for grabs.

💥 Division 2: Unbeaten teams, finals scenarios, and huge matchups this weekend could lock in top 4 spots across both men’s and women’s grades.

🚀 Division 3 Men: Property Brokers Old Boys lead the charge with 3 straight wins, but the chasing pack are right behind them ready to strike!

👉 Big games, big moments, and everything on the line—get down, support your club, and be part of the run to finals!
