Central Firewood

We’re proud to support Newstead Model Country School with a firewood auction on TradeMe!

We’ve donated 4 cubes of our unseasoned standard hotmix firewood and all proceeds go straight to the school.

If you’d like to get behind a great local cause, place a bid or share the auction with your friends.

Auction closes Saturday 17 October at 12.30pm.

Thanks for supporting our local community.

Winter’s nearly wrapped up and we hope everyone has stayed warm and cosy. We’re getting ready for next season now, so keep an eye out as we’ve got a few updates coming your way.
Thanks for supporting our local firewood business!

We doubled our firewood supply this season, but demand has been incredible and we’ve now sold out of our seasoned, ready‑to‑burn wood. 🔥

We do have another supply of wood under cover that isn’t quite at our preferred moisture level yet. Hopefully it continues to dry and might be ready in another month or two, and we’ll make it available for sale as soon as it’s ready.

Thank you to everyone who’s chatted with us this season about what you like or what you’d love to see with your firewood. Those conversations genuinely help us shape the business so we can offer the highest‑level products that suit as many people as possible. 🙏

We really appreciate the support from our local community, and we’re already planning to increase our stock even further for next season.
And exciting news - we’re moving!
A bigger location, a bigger shed, more room for different wood types… the whole setup is getting an upgrade. 🏗️
Stay tuned… we’ll be sharing sneak peeks of the new setup soon.

Facebook has finally sorted out the glitch with our recommendations, so we’re back up and running!

If we’ve delivered firewood to you recently and you were happy with the service, we’d love it if you could leave us a recommendation.

Your support helps more locals find us, especially heading into the colder months. Thank you for backing a small, family-run business!
