Daniel absolutely smashed his powerlifting competition today.

Living with dyspraxia and a developmental learning disability has never stopped him turning up, putting in the work, and giving everything he's got.

WCPA Mid-year Classic at 316 Fitness, Paraparaumu.

Squat: 145kg (+15kg PB)
Bench: 65kg (+10Kg PB)
Deadlift: 190kg (+15kg PB)

Watching his confidence and strength grow over the past while has been one of the most rewarding parts of volunteering with him. Days like today are proof that hard work, determination and the right attitude can achieve incredible things.

Today was the first time I've donated plasma.

Up until now, if you lived in Hawke's Bay, the closest place to donate was Palmerston North. So this morning I headed over to the new centre in Toi Toi, Hastings.

Because of my size, they took the maximum donation of 880ml of plasma. The whole process took about an hour and a half, so I caught up on a few episodes of Prime while being looked after with juice, cheese and crackers!

A pretty easy way to help others and definitely something I'll do again. If you've ever thought about donating, now that it's available here in Hawke's Bay, I'd encourage you to give it a go. I was surprised that they're able to keep it for 2 years.

Entries for the NORTH ISLAND CLASSIC on the 25th of July in Palmerston North are now open!

This is your second chance to qualify for the National Pro/Am Championships on the 26th of September in Auckland.

The first is the 23rd May, ICN New Zealand Great Lake Classic in Taupo. Entries close on the 17th of May so get it in.

The 2026 Calendar has been updated to include details of the National Pro Am which is confirmed for September 26th in Takapuna Auckland.

We are excited to welcome back Nutrition Warehouse who are sponsoring the Nationals this year.

To compete in the Nationals you must do one of the three qualifying competitions -

Great Lake Classic, May 23rd in Taupo. (The Great Lake Classic is also a qualifier for the World Physique Games in Bali).
North Island Classic, July 25th in Palmerston North.
South Island Classic, August 22nd in Christchurch.

These qualifying competitions are open to natural amateurs from around the motu and our international family. PQ cards will be awarded to outstanding Overall division winners. Along with prizes from Diamond Cut Nutrition and Accentuate Posing Academy.

The Nutrition Warehouse National Championships Pro show is open to any ICN Pro or PQ Card holder from around the world and positioned perfectly in the calendar to fall a few weeks before the ICN Australia National titles.

We look forward to hosting our NZ and international Pros and PQ card holders in Aotearoa.
