Good luck Kelby!
I'm not sure how to say this but I dont know kelby that well but from the times I talked to him and bought a shirt a few times I must say he is quite a humble young man. Hes a great sport and great kid when it comes to racing. I'm very proud of kelby. I may be the first to say this but I am older than kelby (28 to be exact) and usually the younger ones look up to us adults and they still do but I look up to my friends that race who are much younger than me like kelby. I even look up to kelby because i think I learn how humble he is and that is going to improve my life and who I am. The next thing I wanna say is i know lastnight like any other night that went wrong or didnt go quite well wasnt how kelby wanted the night and season to end but as i was standing in my buddy ryan Leavitts pit watching him and his team fix their car and watching you guys fix your car I was amazed because it all showed how much we crave this sport and when people come together. Idk what all the girls age are that was down there lastnight but I am impressed with their efforts to help get the car fixed. Props to them. It was simply amazing. Not many girls get involved like that. Keep it all up guys and girls. Your an A team. Good luck next season. I want to see that car in victory lane more next year. Go get em kelby. 🏁🏁🏁
Kelby it was amazing watching you last night! The intensity is crazy!! Not sure how you do it every weekend but it sure was fun to watch! Congrats on a great season!
I just want to THANK YOU so much from the bottom of my heart for making my 7 year old sons night tonight at Lake Ozark Speedway, he was so excited to see another KELBY and couldnt believe the last names almost matched too... the signed shirt meant to SO MUCH to my son he has chosen to frame it and hang it in his room! He enjoyed cheering you on from the stands as well and asked if we could come watch you race somewhere again sometime! I again THANK YOU SO MUCH and good luck on your racing adventure!

It has been over half the season since I have raced a 360 sprint car. But good news, this week we will be competing in the 31st Annual Knoxville 360 Nationals!

Our preliminary night is Thursday, with races starting at 8:30. Hopefully this is a chance to get quickly acclimated with the race car again, and put us in a good starting position on Saturday. If you can’t make it to Knoxville Raceway this week, be sure to tune in on DIRTVision!

I would like to thank Kaleb Johnson Racing for the opportunity to race with their engine this week, our team is very fortunate that they offered to help get us back on the track.

I also want to thank all of our partners for sticking with the team throughout this trying season. It has been very difficult to sit out for 8 weeks without an engine. Hopefully we can make them proud this week.

After 6 weeks on the sidelines, we are returning to Knoxville Raceway in the Sprint Car. We are still waiting on our 360 engine to return from the shop, but I have the opportunity to race in the Pro Sprints class tonight.

It will be a good opportunity to get more laps and will be fun to return to a class that I have had prior success in!

Tonight is 3M Night, Hot Laps are at 6:45 and racing starts at 8pm!

Our next race at Knoxville is this coming Saturday July 17th.
Thank you to everyone for the continued support and we are excited to get back to the track!

This past week was incredible to say the least. I had the opportunity to travel to Las Vegas Motor Speedway with the Cyclone Racing #FSAE team and compete in my first validation event.

The first two days were huge steps for the team as technical and dynamic inspections went the smoothest it ever has for the club, so I was very proud of the team’s hard work. On day 3, we started the official driving events. We placed 5th in the skid pad event, and in acceleration blew a clutch before we finished which left us in 13th out of 40+ cars.

Because autocross was still on the schedule for the day, our team had to work hard to replace the clutch on our car to make it to autocross. I’d like to thank the Powertrain team and everyone else on the team that worked hard to get the new clutch put in on time for me to get some laps in in autocross. Our result was 5th again in autocross due to our other driver Casey putting down an absolute burner of a timed lap.

Our final day of competition was Endurance, which consisted of 11 laps for Casey, a driver swap, and then 11 more laps for me all in 115+ degree weather! The start of endurance was exceptional as Casey had an average lap time that put us in 2nd place. But, after Casey’s stint was over and I was pulling out for my session, the judges noticed that our brake lights were failing. Unfortunately they disqualified the car because our electrical terminal had came loose and caused the light to lose power, and the rules state that no team member can touch the car once it pulls out of the driver swap.

A DNF certainly does not represent all the hard work and dedication that went into this car from all the team members in our pit, and it does not show how fast our car was. I would like to thank Jimmy, Aaron, and everyone else on the team for the opportunity to driver CR-25. I look forward to more opportunities with the Cyclone Racing Formula SAE club in the future, and to competition next year with CR-26!

Happy Memorial Day! Had a great race on Saturday night at Knoxville Raceway with another top 5! Had another tough start to the night with a 10th place finish in qualifying and then we went 2nd to 5th in the heat. This left us with a 13th place starting position in the feature.

Despite the deep starting position, the guys put a great tune on the racecar that made passing an easy task. We were able to gain 9 positions in the feature to finish 4th place, with our first Hard Charger of the year!

Thank you everyone for the support, we look forward to this coming weekend!

Came home with a 4th place finish at Knoxville Raceway last night! It was great to finally knock the rust off and get the monkey off our back from the first two nights. We even achieved our first Quick Time in a 360!

In the heat race we started in 6th and made up a couple spots and finished fourth. This left us starting 3rd in the feature. I was able to make it up to 2nd for the majority of the race, but the problems that have plagued us the past two weeks still upset the car last night. The car unfortunately was very difficult to drive, but I managed to wheel it to a 4th place finish. I would like to thank my Dad, Grandpa, Dave, Reagan, and Ashlyn for all their help with making this racecar fast last night!

And especially thanks to all our partners!

Opening Night at Knoxville Raceway was a tough one to say the least. To start out the weekend, I noticed a large vibration coming from the rear of the car in practice. On Saturday morning, the team and I busted our tails to switch out a rear end assembly for the races that night.

In Hot Laps, I noticed that the vibration persisted, and also found that our new steering pump was malfunctioning. Between hot laps and qualifying the team and I worked very hard to get a spare steering gear in in time. I can't thank my Dad, Dave, my Grandpa, Rex, Reagan, and everyone else that helped enough for getting me back out on the track. In Qualifying and the Heat race the large vibration continued and became worse each lap. This began to slow the car down to the point that we were not competitive.

In the feature, I decided to tail the field and stay out of trouble. On the first lap my left rear tire went flat and left us with a DNF. It was a very frustrating start to the season, but we believe we have identified and fixed the issue.

Thank you to all my friends, family, and sponsors for making it to the racetrack this past weekend and for all their support. As we return to the track this Saturday, I hope we have a competitive car and can contend for a win like I know that we are capable of doing. -Kelby

It’s practice night at Knoxville Raceway! So now it’s time to unveil our 2021 contender for the 360 Championship! The guys over at Podium Ink nailed the design on this car again! We are looking forward to getting this thing dirty tonight, and getting it dialed in for opening night tomorrow!

I would like to thank all of our sponsors for the 2021 season. Without all the support of our great contributors, we wouldn’t have a racecar.
