All practices are open to everyone of all genders! We are currently recruiting skaters, refs, and non-skating volunteers. Let us teach you! Practices are held at Wells Park on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30pm-8:30pm and Sundays from 10:00am-12 noon. We are a nonprofit corporation committed to helping promoting positivity in roller derby in Albuquerque.

ABQRD's Narwhals juniors (ages 8-17) are now on their summer break practice schedule. Practices in June and August will be canceled if the temperature is above 90 degrees. No practices are scheduled for July.

We're back from two days in Salt Lake City at the May Meltdown Roller Derby Tournament! Even though we ended up on the smaller side of the scoreboard in both games, we played hard, we played with integrity, and we never forgot that we're ABQRD!
Thanks to , , and for inviting us to the tourney, and special thanks to Uinta Roller Derby for such a fun game on Sunday afternoon. Y'all are truly great skaters AND humans!

ABQRD started off our 2026 season with a big 172-125 WIN against West Texas Roller Derby at our May 16th Home Bout! It was an exciting, well-matched game, and we had an absolute blast playing against old friends & new ones.
Congrats to the MVPs! ABQRD: Smash or Pass (blocker), She Devil (jammer), Pusha T (overall). WTRD: Scary-Go-Round (blocker), Madame Furie (jammer), Wild Wookiee (overall).
Also, a giant THANK YOU to all the skating officials, NSOs, med staff, announcers, photographers, volunteers, sponsors, and fans, without whom none of this would be possible!
