I’ve been dreading this day.
How do you put 10.5 years into a goodbye? ❤️
Today was Mike’s last day at The Training Room, and even though I knew it was coming, writing those words still doesn’t feel real.
In his farewell post, Mike thanked me for taking a chance on him. A recommendation and a conversation became an opportunity to find his path. At the time, I couldn’t have known how much that one conversation would mean to both of us.
Mike, you thanked me for what I built, but you helped build it. You gave more than a decade of your life to this place and the people inside it. Your knowledge, your care, and the relationships you built are part of what makes The Training Room feel like home.
You wrote about hoping to leave a place better than you found it. Please know this: you absolutely did. There are people walking out of our doors stronger and more confident because they had you in their corner. That impact doesn’t leave when you do.
And on a personal note… thank you for going along with all the crazy things I talked you into over the years. Including that 500-movement library I somehow got you into. 😉 So many ideas, so many memories, and so much life happened in these 10.5 years.
You said this place left you better for having found it. Well, you made this place…and my life…better by being here.
I’m so excited for your next chapter, not only as a trainer, but as a husband and a father. Watching you step into this part of your life makes me so proud, and I know you’ll exceed every expectation, as you always do.
You’ll always have a home here and me in your corner. Thank you for these 10.5 years.
Love you Mike,
Amber ❤️
