SBG Idaho Coach and professional Nak Muay, Kyler “Felony” Fordyce, makes the walk to the ring tomorrow at Rebellion Muay Thai in Melbourne, Australia!

Riding the momentum of two impressive round 1 finishes at Raja Knockout in Bangkok over the last two months, Fordyce (10-1) plots his course south to Melbourne to take on Dassakorn Saton of 8 Blades Muay Thai (10-0) in a much-anticipated Welterweight (66 kg) showdown!

SUMMER ANNIVERSARY BBQ – AUGUST 8!!!

This summer marks 19 years of sharing our passion for martial arts and changing lives within our community! We invite everyone to come celebrate the occasion with us at our Annual Anniversary BBQ!!!

What started out as a small gym on a hidden back street in Garden City, has now grown to the largest facility of its kind in the state of Idaho. What once served primarily as a training facility for aspiring fighters is now also a community hub where people of all walks of life come to improve their health, find inner peace, and develop lasting friendships. We are incredibly grateful for everyone that chooses to make SBG Idaho part of their lives, and we want to celebrate the occasion with all of you!

We will meet at JULIA DAVIS PARK in the Celebration Pavilion near the corner of Broadway & Park, at 3pm on Saturday, August 8th. This will be a potluck and we invite everyone to bring a dish or an item for the grill. We look forward to seeing everyone there for an afternoon of food, fun, and good times with our Tribe!!!

We want to take a moment to recognize our final event partner for the 2nd Annual Summer Submission Showdown – Northwest Submission Challenge!

The Northwest Submission Challenge is Idaho's longest running and most prestigious grappling event! An Idaho original that began as a standard tournament, has now evolved into a super-fight series event that attracts the best submission grapplers from all across the Pacific Northwest and Rocky Mountain regions!

The NWSC's mission from the beginning has always been to grow Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and submission grappling in the Treasure Valley and beyond. In that effort, they are happy to support events like the Summer Submission Showdown, which gives newer competitors the chance to test their skills in a safe, low-pressure environment. SUMMER SUBMISSION SHOWDOWN 2 THIS SATURDAY!!!

We are incredibly excited to announce our second annual Gorilla Cup Summer Submission Showdown this Saturday, August 1!!!

Our inaugural event last summer was a huge success, with our grapplers, kids and adults, showing off their skills and competing hard in front of a loud, supportive crowd! This year we are bringing even more fun and grappling actions, with a stacked lineup of youth and adult matches, capped off by a Quintet Showdown between teams led by Coach Jake and Coach Jesse!
Before the action heat up on the mats we’ll be getting together for some summer fun! Come hang with your Tribe and enjoy the die-dye booth, bake sale, hotdogs, and a dunk tank for students to dunk their favorite coaches and staff!

STELLA FEAR JUDO SEMINAR - AUGUST 8 & 9

In our effort to always deliver the best training opportunities for our students and coaches, we are excited to announce a Judo seminar with Black Belt, Stella Fear on Saturday and Sunday, August 8 & 9!

Senior National Champion, Junior World Team Member, Judo and Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt - Stella not only brings elite grappling credentials to our mats, but as the daughter of SBG Vice President, Travis Davison, an elite coaching pedigree as well!

The seminar will run from 10am-noon each day, with Saturday's focus on traditional Judo training and Sunday on Judo for Jiu-Jitsu, MMA, and self defense. So no matter your grappling focus, invest in your training and level up next weekend with one of the top young coaches in the Pacific Northwest!

SUMMER BUDDY WEEK!!!

With summer in full swing, what better way to celebrate the new adventures that await than with a new Buddy Week!

Beginning Monday, July 27-Saturday, August 1, bring a friend, significant other, family member, co-worker, or even just a casual acquaintance to train with you for FREE! For each buddy you bring, you will get a raffle ticket for a spin on the prize wheel and a free month of training for your buddy.

We know how amazing the Tribe is here at SBG Idaho and want to help you to share that culture with the other important people in your life!

We look forward to seeing all the new faces next week! Remember, you will be training with your buddy in Foundations classes, so make sure to show up at the right time and to get here a few minutes early take care of paperwork and get your buddy their equipment. Liability waivers will be available before classes at the front desk. Limit: one buddy per class.

HAWKINS RETURNS TO THE RING SATURDAY NIGHT!!!

Two-division champion, Cub “The Savage” Hawkins, returns to the Bare Knuckle Boxing ring on Saturday, July 18 at BKB 56 in Los Angeles, CA!

The current BKB Light Heavyweight and Cruiserweight Champion, Hawkins (9-1 BKB, 7 KOs) makes the drop to Middleweight in search of a 3rd championship! Hawkins takes on veteran Rowdy Montgomery in a high stakes matchup with championship implications for the winner.

While new to SBG Idaho, Cub has made an immediate positive impact at the gym where his focus and discipline have helped elevate everyone around him! We are honored to have played a part in his training and can’t wait to watch him perform Saturday night!
