Communication with your coaches to make the appropriate modifications is essential.
Consistency is the most important piece of the puzzle.
All you need to focus on is to show up. We’ll take care of the rest.
Injuries usually occur with fast, jerky motions.
One way we’ll cue our members to perform exercises is to imagine “sliding” out of the bottom of your reps, to avoid quick, jerky motions.

What to do when an exercise when it doesn’t feel right:
1. Make a small adjustment. More often than not, we can make an exercise feel “right” by making a small change, like the example in this video.
2. Make an exercise modification. There’s no one “right” way to perform an exercise like a squat or a pushup. We can adjust the range of motion, change the equipment we’re performing the exercise on, or choose a different variation of the exercise.
3. Switch the exercise out. There are no mandatory exercises. If something doesn’t feel good, we can always find something else that does.
Rule #1. If it hurts (in a bad way), don’t do it.
There’s always something else we can do.
