Progress at the new location!
What’s Coach Michael doing?! 🤔⚽
With one foot on the BOSU, Coach Michael is kicking the ball around the BOSU to challenge balance, coordination, and single-leg stability while reacting to a moving object! 🧠💪
Regression: Keep both feet on the ground and kick the ball around the BOSU for a more stable base.

Nature and Exploring
Getting outside does more than change your scenery—it challenges your brain in healthy ways. Exploring a new trail, park, or neighborhood engages attention, navigation, balance, memory, and curiosity all at once. Nature can also give your mind a break from screens, noise, and constant demands.
Try a new route this week. Your brain may appreciate the adventure as much as your body does. 🌿🧠

🌿 Stress Relief Thursday 🌿
Coach Luke and his wife, Eden, taking some time to slow down and enjoy the nature at Lake Erie! 🌊☀️
Getting outside, spending time with the people you love, and enjoying a change of scenery can be a great way to reset, recharge, and support your brain health. 🧠💚
What’s Coach Michael doing?! 🤔💪
This farmer’s walk adds an extra challenge! With kettlebells hanging from the mobility stick, the weight shifts as he moves, forcing his body to react and stabilize. This challenges his core stability, grip strength, balance, and coordination all at once! 🧠💪

Dementia is not just a brain issue, it is a whole-body health issue.
Your heart, blood vessels, blood sugar, movement, sleep, stress, and social connection all play a role in long-term brain health. The 2024 Lancet Commission estimates that addressing modifiable health and lifestyle risks could potentially prevent or delay up to 45% of dementia cases.
At Activate Brain & Body Fitness, we combine physical and cognitive exercise to help you build strength, improve balance, support heart and metabolic health, reduce stress, and keep your brain challenged.
After five research projects, we have developed a proven strategy to help people build a stronger, steadier body and a sharper brain.
