Messy manatees
While on tour, you may hear your captain or guide encourage you to keep your feet floating behind you. This is to ensure our silty bottom doesn’t get stirred up.
Manatees will sift through mud and silt to get to grass that may lay beneath. This will sometimes stir the bottom up as they can be messy eaters. So it’s always important to try and minimize our movements as well!

Starting July 1st we offer 5 hour tours to our scalloping grounds, where you and our in water guide will have time to catch scallops, see local wildlife, and relax in the warm waters of the gulf.
After your underwater treasure hunt you’ll probably be starving. Well we have great news! Most of our local restaurants will actually prepare and cook your scallops for you however you’d like, making this adventure fun and easy when it comes to catching your own seafood!
