Words can't describe how disappointed I am in myself these past few regional weekends. I came into Muddy Creek super confident and pumped up, ready to get my ticket and go to the ranch to chase my dream. Right after that first moto, I realized I was nowhere close to these kids. I went home from Muddy Creek upset with myself, but didn't give up since I knew I had two more chances. P26 Muddy Creek Regional. I went into Redbud a little nervous but was still motivated to punch my ticket. Practice day went solid, learning the track, but I knew I had to find more speed and get my head in the right place if I wanted any chance at making it. The first moto didn't go my way, getting a terrible start and finding myself in the LCQ later that day, just to get the last transfer spot to race in the second and third motos. I raced the second motos and just tried to have fun on my dirt bike, and I still was nowhere close to the fast guys. P29 Redbud Regional. Going into Lincoln Trail, I was definitely nervous but was more confident since I knew the track and facility. Practice day just didn't feel good on the bike, and I knew I would have to have some luck to qualify, as some of the same kids that already made it at Redbud decided to come race this one just to steal people's tickets! The first moto didn't go terrible, but didn't go great. I raced the best of my ability for the rest of the day and got 16th in the last moto. P20 Lincoln Trail Regional. Overall, I'm super upset with myself because I gave it my all and was nowhere close to making it. Congratulations to anyone who punched their tickets this year, and if you didn't make it and you're upset, just know you're not the only one. But I couldn't do this with everyone behind me as I tried to complete my dream this year.
