The Wi******er Model 70 is one of the most iconic American bolt-action rifles, often called the “Rifleman’s Rifle.”

It was introduced in 1936 by the Wi******er Repeating Arms Company as an improved version of the earlier Model 54. It had the reputation for accuracy, reliability, and high-quality craftsmanship, especially for its controlled-round-feed bolt system.

After a brief production halt, it resumed again in 2008 under FN Herstal at a facility in South Carolina.

Today, the Model 70 remains a respected hunting and sporting rifle, valued both as a modern firearm and a collectible piece of American gun-making history.
