What a fantastic Colombian Happy Hour! 🍹🇨🇴

Did you know that in Colombia, community and bonding are an important part of everyday life? Gatherings are often centered around reconnecting with family and friends, sharing stories, celebrating accomplishments, and simply enjoying each other's company. Everyone plays a role, creating a true sense of togetherness and belonging.

Tonight, Mesa View embraced that beautiful spirit as we celebrated the culture of Colombia! Residents enjoyed learning about two popular Colombian beverages. The Coco Loco ("Crazy Coconut") is a favorite along Colombia's Caribbean coast and perfectly represents the region's festive, tropical, and laid-back atmosphere. We also served Limonada de Coco, a refreshing blend of lime and coconut that is often described as tasting like "key lime pie in a glass!"

The laughter, conversations, and smiles throughout the evening made this event such a success. It was wonderful to see so many residents come out, show interest in Colombian culture, and enjoy trying something new together.

A special thank you to our amazing server, Amanda, for helping make the evening run so smoothly. She worked hard serving our homemade traditional drinks and brought so much positive energy to the event!

Thank you, Mesa View, for ending our week with excitement, joy, and meaningful connections. We also had a sweet surprise from 2 residents who went to Hawaii and came back with a few dance moves and hip shaking, Great job ladies!! They even special ordered pineapples and almonds to share with everyone!!! Thank you for the sweet treats!!!!

Every Tuesday is always something special for us! ❤️

Our Lunch Bunch adventures are always meaningful, fun, and full of laughter. We get to visit different restaurants, try new foods, and make wonderful memories together. This week even included a photo session next to a huge bull statue that one resident absolutely refused to let go of! 😂🐂

And of course, after every Lunch Bunch outing, we treat ourselves to ice cream! 🍦 Whether it's one scoop or two, nobody in the facility ever turns it down. It's always delicious, helps keep us cool, and is the perfect way to end a great afternoon with friends.

This one definitely knocked it out of the ballpark! 🎨🌲🌸

We turned simple pinecones into beautiful flowers displayed on decorative frames, and the results were absolutely stunning! From the vibrant colors of each pinecone to the backgrounds and bows on the front, every piece came out unique and full of personality.

The ladies had a wonderful time creating their designs and were so proud of the finished products. There was plenty of laughter, sarcasm, and joking around throughout the project—which, of course, made it even more fun! 😂

Happy days, creative minds, and another successful arts and crafts project here at Mesa View. It's always amazing to see how something so simple can be transformed into something so beautiful when creativity, friendship, and a little laughter come together. ❤️✨

What a perfect start to the week! 🎶❤️

Dianne and Michael Killen, also known as The Killens Acoustic Harmony, came in and put on an incredible performance, and our residents gave them a wonderful crowd! The music was amazing, and their passion and love for what they do truly shined through. They absolutely loved our community and our beautiful building, and we loved every minute of having them here.

There was something special about the way everything came together—the music, the atmosphere, and the smiles throughout the room. It all synced together perfectly!

A huge thank you to The Killens for sharing their talent with us. We cannot wait to welcome them back again soon! 🎸🎤❤️
