What a FUN way to celebrate and pay tribute to the one and only Dolly Parton on 9/25! 🤠💗

Today’s Happy Hour was filled with amazing outfits, BIG smiles, laughter, music, and SO much joy! Our residents AND staff really got into the spirit by dressing up, and let me tell you… we had some absolutely fabulous hats, outfits, and, of course… THE WIGS! ❤️👒👗💇‍♀️

Watching everyone enjoy themselves, compliment each other’s looks, share laughs, and simply have fun together was truly the best part. These are the moments that make our community so special. ❤️

And we have to give a BIG shoutout to Becky for creating some AMAZING ChatGPT-inspired flyers for Resients! They turned out fantastic and added such a fun touch to the day! 👏✨

🎹 And we absolutely CANNOT forget Nancy! She treated us to beautiful piano music, including some classic Dolly favorites like “Jolene” and “9 to 5,” along with several others that had everyone smiling and enjoying the moment. 🎶💕

It was an afternoon filled with music, laughter, creativity, friendship, and a whole lot of Dolly spirit!

What a way to celebrate 9/25! 💗🎀

We laughed. We dressed up. We sang along. We made memories. And we had THE BEST TIME!

🚂🏔️GLENWOOD SPRINGS! 🏔️🚂

We took the train to Glenwood Springs, Colorado, and what a beautiful ride it was! The trip was so smooth and relaxing, with gorgeous Colorado scenery along the way. There is just something special about being able to sit back, visit with friends, watch the mountains roll by, and enjoy the journey instead of worrying about the road.
Once we arrived, we enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Glenwood Canyon Brewpub—and the food was absolutely wonderful! 🍔🍻

🏨 A LITTLE HISTORY BEHIND OUR LUNCH SPOT

The building pictured here has a fascinating history. In the early 1900s, this block was filled with saloons, restaurants, grocery stores and rooming houses. In 1904, Frank Walter constructed a three-story brick building on Seventh Street. Art Kendrick later leased the upper floors and established The Denver Rooms, beginning with 17 rooms.
Between 1913 and 1930, Kendrick continued purchasing neighboring properties and expanding his business. What began as the Denver Rooms eventually grew into what became known as the Hotel Denver.

The Glenwood Canyon Brewpub opened in 1996 inside the historic Star Hotel portion of the Hotel Denver. So when our Lunch Bunch group sat down to eat, we weren't simply enjoying a meal—we were dining inside a building that is part of more than a century of Glenwood Springs history!
The Hotel Denver and the Star Hotel were eventually joined together, and today the historic property is known as Hotel Maxwell Anderson, while the brewpub continues operating in the historic building.

So our day was a little bit of Colorado scenery, railroad history, local history, great food, and wonderful company all rolled into one!
We absolutely cannot wait to do this again with our next Lunch Bunch group in October!

❤️ ONE LIFE. ONE STORY. ONE LEGACY. ❤️

This week, we had the absolute honor of welcoming our beautiful resident Marie to share her One Life, One Story, One Legacy with us—and what a story she has to tell!
Her journey carried us through the lobby with heartfelt memories, gratitude, love, and a lifetime of experiences that took us from Rhode Island, to New York, back to her hometown, and now here with us at Mesa View.
Marie shared not only pieces of her own journey, but also the beautiful story of how she met her husband, Jerry—who is just as wonderful as she is. The two of them truly have a lifetime of stories, adventures, love, and memories to share.
At one point, our R.E.D., Sarah, was helping Marie by holding the microphone. But once Marie took that microphone for herself, you could see Sarah becoming more and more captivated by her journey. She wasn't just helping tell the story anymore—she was living it alongside Marie, listening with admiration and soaking in every word.
And that is exactly what makes One Life, One Story, One Legacy so special.
Our residents aren't simply people who live here. They are parents, grandparents, spouses, teachers, leaders, travelers, dreamers, survivors, friends, and so much more. They have lived entire lives before they ever walked through our doors—and we are incredibly blessed that they trust us enough to let us hear those stories.
When they share their memories, we don't just listen,

We experience them.
We laugh with them.
We remember with them.
We honor the lives they've lived.
And we cherish the legacy they continue to create every single day. ❤️

Marie, thank you for having the courage and comfort to stand before us and open your heart. Thank you for allowing us to travel through your memories and experience your journey as if we were right there beside you.
