BUILDING CONFIDENCE & DISCIPLINE: YOUTH ACADEMY (AGES 8–12) 🥊

Is boxing safe for your child? At Watkins Boxing, our answer is simple: We don't train kids to fight. We train them to listen, focus, and build unstoppable self-confidence in a structured, safe environment.

Here is how our system sets your child up for success:

🛡️ Minimum Contact: Standard youth classes are strictly low-contact. We focus heavily on footwork, athletic coordination, and proper technique. Full contact is entirely optional and reserved only for advanced, competitive athletes.

🎯 Gamified Discipline: We keep training fun! By incorporating competitive games and drills, we teach focus, respect, and listening skills while keeping the energy high.

💪 Strength & Conditioning: Kids love seeing themselves get stronger. Our program integrates age-appropriate fitness routines to help them take pride in what their bodies can accomplish.

FIGHTER OF THE MONTH: AIDEN // DISCIPLINE INSIDE & OUTSIDE THE RING 🥊

Our June Fighter of the Month, Aiden! At just 15 years old, this Homer-Center High School student is proving exactly what dedication looks like.

Aiden has been training under our system for 2 years, racking up 5 fights and taking home the Golden Gloves Championship in the sub-novice 132lb youth division. He has proudly represented our gym across state lines, competing in major markets like Pittsburgh and Akron, Ohio.

Channelling the relentless work ethic of his favorite fighter, Joe Frazier, and fueled by a heavy dose of Pantera, Aiden is currently cutting down to a sharp 125lbs. He’s locked in and ready to step through the ropes for his next battle this month!
