Congratulations to Kaitlin Roselius on being named USTA Missouri Valley’s 2026 Champion of Equality!

In her role as director of community outreach and evaluation for Woods Tennis Center in Lincoln, Nebraska, Kaitlin Roselius has nearly 2,000 tennis players under her purview. She wears many hats, but all of her work is built around championing tennis for all.

🎾✨ And for our grand finale of Woods stories at the US Open…

We couldn’t think of a better way to wrap up our series than with Kaitlin Roselius, Woods Tennis Center’s Director of Community Outreach & Evaluation, who was honored as USTA Missouri Valley’s 2026 Champion of Equality! 🏆

While at the US Open to receive her award, Kaitlin got to experience the event like never before — including meeting Billie Jean King, attending the women’s semifinals from the President’s Suite, connecting with influential tennis leaders from across USTA districts, and taking in all the excitement of the US Open! 🎾🗽

We are SO thankful to have Kaitlin on our team and even more excited to see her recognized for the incredible work she does both on and off the court. 💙

For those who may not know Kaitlin’s work, she helps provide tennis and educational programming to youth throughout Lincoln and the surrounding communities. She also oversees Woods’ adapted tennis programs, Tennis Without Limits and Tennis Buddies, in partnership with Special Olympics Nebraska, serving youth and adults with intellectual disabilities.

She has also partnered with organizations including Bright Lights, Beyond School Bells, and many others to create unique tennis and educational opportunities for kids of all ages and backgrounds.

Kaitlin is constantly finding new ways to make tennis more accessible, inclusive, and impactful in our community — and we are so lucky to have her leading the way. 💙🎾

Congratulations, Kaitlin! We can’t think of anyone more deserving. 👏🏆

We’ve got another Woods connection to add to the list! Woods alumni Sarah & Katie were at the US Open yesterday to take in the women’s final! 🎾🏆

There’s nothing quite like experiencing a Grand Slam final live, and we love seeing our Woods alumni getting to enjoy the biggest moments in tennis!

From working behind the scenes to coaching to cheering from the stands — Woods was well represented at the US Open this year! 💙🎾

🎾 Woods Alumni at the US Open!

Woods alumna Samantha Mannix is back at the US Open for her fourth year! She’s been working the Open since 2023 and has gotten to be part of a variety of projects behind the scenes.

This year, Samantha works in Player Tickets, helping distribute tickets to all of the players competing at the US Open. 🎟️🎾

But her experience with the US Open Player Services team goes far beyond tickets! Over the past few years, she’s helped with everything from puppy days 🐶 and staff recovery to hitting partners, player laundry and towels — basically, a little bit of everything that helps make the player experience second to none.

We love seeing our Woods alumni take their passion for tennis into incredible opportunities like this. Samantha may be behind the scenes, but she’s playing an important part in making the US Open happen for the athletes we all love watching! 💙🎾

🎾 Another Woods at the US Open story!

Woods patron Melissa Hershberger has made the trip to the US Open for six years now, so she knows a thing or two about making the most of tennis’ biggest stage! 🎾🗽

One of her favorite matches she got to see live this year was a doubles match featuring Kateřina Siniaková and Taylor Townsend. And according to Melissa, the atmosphere is a huge part of what keeps her coming back:

💬 “I love the atmosphere, especially on the outer courts and in Armstrong. It’s full of people who love tennis like I do. The crowd was super into it and there were tons of true tennis fans.”

Six years of US Opens, countless matches, and plenty of memories — we love seeing our Woods community making the most of the tennis world’s biggest events! 💙

🎾🗽 Woods at the US Open!

This year, Woods patrons the Rathe family, took home our US Open package from the Woods Tennis Center fundraiser live auction — and they definitely made the most of it!

Their package included tickets to the US Open, including a night session and quarterfinal session, plus a three-night stay in an amazing corner unit in Midtown Manhattan. Talk about a pretty incredible tennis getaway! 👀

And apparently, the experience has been even better than expected. During the Zverev match, the crowd was light enough that the ushers surprised them with courtside passes! 😍

And to make the trip even more Woods-connected, they met up with Kevin to catch the end of the fifth-set tiebreak of the Tiafoe match! 🎾🔥

We absolutely love seeing our Woods community enjoying the US Open — and knowing that this incredible experience came from supporting Woods at our fundraiser makes it even sweeter!

We have a lot of people from our Woods community at the US Open this year, and we’re so excited to share their stories! 🎾🌎

Starting us off is our fearless leader, Kevin, who is at the US Open coaching wheelchair players! While he’s been spending most of his time coaching and practicing with his players, he’s also managed to run into a few Woods alumni, team members, and familiar faces from our tennis community — and, of course, sneak in a little time to watch some amazing tennis! 👀

We love seeing our Woods family representing on one of the biggest stages in tennis! 💙

We’re giving daytime cardio a shot this session to see if we can get enough players! If you’ve been looking for a way to get your tennis fix during the day, come join us! ☀️

🚫 No cardio on Labor Day

🎾 REGULAR CARDIO

Mondays: 1–2 PM*** | 6:30–7:30 PM*
Tuesdays: 1–2 PM***
Wednesdays: 6–7 PM
Thursdays: 7–8:30 PM
Fridays: 1–2 PM*** | 5:30–6:30 PM
Saturdays: 12–1 PM

Leadership Academy 🤝🎾

We kicked off Year 2 of our Leadership Academy yesterday! Our mentors and mentees got to meet, learn more about the program, and jump right into some fun team-building activities.

We’re so excited to see this program continue to grow and to watch the relationships, leadership skills, and connections develop throughout the year. Here’s to another great year of Leadership Academy! 💙
