🐴🎨 What an awesome Jump Painting Party we had this morning at Ken-Caryl!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and helped give our jumps a makeover. Your hard work, creativity, and enthusiasm made the day such a success, and we couldn't have done it without you.

It was so nice to see our equestrian community come together to create something special for our horses and riders.

We're so excited to see these freshly painted jumps out in the arena and can't wait for everyone to enjoy them. Thank you for helping make our facility even more beautiful and welcoming!

We are jumping into June with an introduction to our two Equestrian School Summer Camp Counselors! 🐎

Brooke and Kaitlyn, pictured here, both have a wealth of experience and knowledge that they are very excited to pass along to our campers this year.

Both of these ladies attend The University of Colorado, but didn’t know each other until they met here.

Kaitlyn even used to work and volunteer here at the Equestrian Center during summer camps so it is a true full circle moment for her. Welcome back, Kaitlyn!

We are so fortunate to have these ladies helping us in teaching the next generation of horse girls and boys. Cheers to a fun and educational summer camp!

Please join us in welcoming Hershey, a new school horse for the Ken-Caryl Ranch Equestrian School 🍫

Hershey is a 14 year-old Mustang mare who was previously in a lesson program near Colorado Springs and she is just as sweet as her name implies.

There has been some debate amongst staff as to whether or not her name fits her... Let us know what you think in the comments down below. Does the name "Hershey" fit? Or should we try something else for her?

May is turning out to be a busy month here at the Equestrian Center! 🌸

From unclogging drains, rebedding pipe pens, installing new mirrors, to using our new water trailer, we are always looking to improve the Equestrian Center for all of our boarders.

While we were thankful for the moisture, we are very glad for the warmer temperatures coming our way which mean trail riding and late nights at the EQC.

🐴 Pictured here is handsome Hoshi, one of our school horses, getting ready for a lesson with one of his kiddos!

Hoshi is a fantastic gelding in his late teens that has been a part of the program for the last few years. He makes a great school horse because he is safe, patient, and easy going.

While he is blind in his left eye, it doesn’t slow him down at all (unless you try to pick up his right canter lead, he prefers the left).

Here at the Equestrian Center, we understand that a good lesson horse is worth their weight in gold. It is because of them that we are able to help foster the next generation of horse riders! Thank you to Hoshi and all of the other school horses for all that they do.

☀️ Still looking for something for your horse crazy kiddo to do this summer? Check out our summer camp for ages 6-8. We still have a few spots left, but they’re filling up fast!

🐴 We also have Sunday at the Stables which is a course taught on two consecutive Sundays in a row. Perfect for the student seeking knowledge of horse care outside of the saddle. Students will learn valuable information, like doctoring, nutrition, and general horse care!
