I didn’t expect to learn some of my biggest leadership lessons from venture capital.

Even in high-stakes environments, everything came back to trust. Strong leaders invested in connection.

The best leaders didn’t need to be right. They wanted to get it right. That meant research, deep questioning, and welcoming alternative perspectives.
Most teams never operate this way, not because they don’t want to, but because these skills require emotional intelligence, courage, and confidence most leaders were never taught to build.
