Kick off the Evergreen Historic District Association Street Fair with a special community class at Evergreen Yoga!🧘🎉 This class, taught by Leah, will begin at 10am on October 3rd and is open to everyone, from beginners to advanced level yogis! Since opening in 2006, we’ve been so grateful for the support of our friends, neighbors, and fellow small businesses for coming to class, spreading the word, and helping us grow.💚✨ We’d love to see you for a fun class as we celebrate! Come as you are. 💚 That’s really the heart of it.

Whatever level you’re starting from, we’ll meet you there — and we’ll teach you the modifications and little tricks that make the practice work for your body, whether you’re on your mat in the studio or at home.

That kind of attention is what we love most about teaching. You walk in carrying whatever the day gave you, and you walk out feeling a little more like yourself.

Fall is right around the corner, which means a new session is coming to Evergreen Yoga!🍂 We’ve made some changes to the labeling of our classes and are now bringing you Open, Beginner, and Experienced Level options! Don’t worry, your favorite regularly scheduled classes with Leah and Tedrah aren’t changing much, we’re just adjusting how we describe them. We’re looking forward to seeing all of you soon in the new Fall session!✨

Dear Evergreen Yoga friends, our weekly classes will not meet August 17th-30th for our Summer Break!☀️ This will give everyone time for a refresh before the upcoming Fall Session, which begins on August 31st. Make plans to check out our website and social media for some exciting updates!✨ In the meantime, stick to your home practice using the tools we have given you during classes. Here's a little how-to on B.K.S. Iyengar’s “king of all asanas,” the Supported Headstand.✨This pose may seem intimidating at first, but it may be more accessible to you than you think! If you’d like a more hands-on learning experience for this pose and Supported Shoulderstand, “the queen of all asanas", come to one of our classes at Evergreen and our wonderful teachers can guide you in person!💚

A helpful phrase to take with you throughout your own yoga journey is, “The body has options, learn to listen.” 💚 At Evergreen we strive to instill this in all our students, listening to your body is of the upmost importance both on and off the mat. Options like incorporating props, making pose adjustments to meet your experience level, or relaxing unconscious tension are just a few ways to listen to your body during your practice.
