I’ve had so much incredible feedback on this post.

Even though the poem itself is recited by an ai voice ( Mama Graves )the message is incredibly potent and is speaking to a part of the female experience that I’m not sure has been so clearly articulated in any other content I am aware of.

Most of the comments and messages I’ve received around it asks me either a) where I’m located or b) where can I find this in my part of the world.

I am located in Charleston, SC don’t have an answer for most questions around other locations. So I’m asking here - if you are a facilitator who:

A) identifies as female
B) is using touch as a healing modality
C) holds trauma informed containers
D) prioritizes safe touch
F) is working towards a world where all women know what it feels like to be held gently

Drop your name, info, and location below.

This is a simplification of a very complicated and lengthy process, especially for trauma survivors.

I’m not a doctor. I’m not a therapist. But I am someone who knows how to sit with people in grief, in fear, in discomfort, and work at the edge of available safety.

Because I don’t think safety means convincing yourself that nothing bad will happen. I don’t think it means regulating yourself into perpetual calm. And I definitely don’t think it means overriding the parts of you that are scared.

Sometimes safety is simply having enough support to stay present with what is happening without abandoning yourself.

It’s learning the difference between discomfort and danger. Learning where your edges actually are. Learning that you can say no, change your mind, ask for support, take up space, soften, get stronger, leave, stay.

It is collecting little pieces of evidence that say: I am here. I have choices. I can feel what I feel and remain in relationship with myself.

And that relationship takes practice.

Even in this world. Even after everything that’s happened. Even when your nervous system has very good reasons to be protective, you can find solid ground.

Maybe not permanently. Maybe not perfectly.

But enough ground to stand on.

And then enough to move from.

September always feels like a transition point to me.

Summer starts loosening its grip, routines return, and Virgo season brings our attention back to the small things that shape the way we actually live. Our habits. Our patterns. Our practice. The places where a little more attention, organization and discernment can change a lot.

So for September, I’m opening a limited number of private sessions at $100/hour, normally $130.

For yoga students, this is a chance to get really specific about your practice. Maybe you’re brand new and want to build a solid foundation before habits start forming. Maybe you’ve practiced for years and there are patterns, postures or concepts you’ve never quite understood. We can slow things down, look closely, refine alignment, work with your nervous system and build a practice that makes more sense in your body.

For yoga teachers, I’m also offering private hands-on assist instruction and Zoom coaching. We can work with assists, energetic anatomy, nervous system awareness, teaching habits, confidence, cueing or whatever part of your teaching currently needs a more discerning eye.

That feels very Virgo to me. Not reinventing yourself. Paying close enough attention to notice what could work better, then making small, intelligent adjustments until your habits actually support the person you’re becoming.

A season of refinement rather than perfection.

So I can teach you exactly where to put your hands, how to stand, the directionality and choreography of it all, but without other elements — you’ll prob still have absolutely no idea how to read and respond to what a student’s body (nervous system /story) is telling you.

This is why I teach energetic anatomy alongside physical anatomy, nervous system literacy & trauma informed containers.

because consent is a bigger than asking “are hands-on assists okay?” before class.

bc we gotta have regulation before expansion.

bc most postures need organization, not depth.

bc the quality of the container matters just as much as the quality of the technique.

In my trainings we ask :

are they bracing?
holding their breath?
feeling seen by your touch or quietly tolerating it?
does their nervous system even have capacity for more input right now?
am I helping energy move through the body or adding another place for it to get stuck?
Did their body actually ask for more depth… or did your ego decide the posture wasn’t finished yet?

Touch is a language & I’d my favorite thing is to help other teachers become fluent

Follow along if that sounds like tea
