If you can join us, we'll be marking this day with purpose, reflecting on progress and embracing our collective ties

Veterans Memorial Reef Fifth Annual Fallen Heroes Ceremony

We are beyond honored to welcome Captain Wilbur D. Jones Jr. as a guest speaker for our Veterans Memorial Reef Ceremony.

A retired Navy captain, military historian, and award-winning author, Captain Jones has dedicated his life to preserving the legacy of those who served. He helped lead the long effort that resulted in Wilmington's recognition as America’s first World War II Heritage City, helping to ensure that the courage, sacrifice, and service of the WWII generation will never be forgotten.

We are truly honored to have him join us for this meaningful occasion as we come together to pay tribute to our veterans.

Please join us: May 16th, 2026@ Fort Johnston Museum & Visitor Center, 203 E Bay Street, City of Southport NC
