Join the Oakland Colonels at Washington Park as we take on the San Francisco Eagles in an 1886 vintage base ball match. First hurl is at 11:00 AM, and we’ll wrap up in plenty of time for you to catch the end of the World Cup Final.

Bring your parasols, your favorite snacks and drinks, your dogs, your family, and your loudest cheers. Admission is FREE, and there’s no better way to spend a summer Sunday than at the ballpark.

This Saturday, he’ll proudly represent the Oakland Colonels as the East squares off against the West in one of the Bay Area Vintage Base Ball League’s finest Independence Day traditions.

Steady hands, swift feet, and a knack for timely plays, Rosie will patrol the middle infield for the East.

⚾ Fancy — Battery: Hurler
A crafty hurler with poise upon the mound, Fancy will toe the slab and keep opposing batsmen guessing.

⚾ Chops — Battery: Behind
Every great battery needs a trusted man behind the plate, and Chops is just that—guiding the game, calling the match, and standing firm behind the striker.

Together they’ll represent the East alongside the Berkeley Clarions, Mission Reddingtons, Dublin Aces, and San Jose Dukes as they take on the mighty West in the Bay Area Vintage Base Ball League’s cherished Independence Day tradition.

⚾ The Rosters Are Set! ⚾

The finest ballists from across the Bay Area Vintage Base Ball League (BAVBB) have been chosen, and the annual East vs. West All-Star Match is nearly upon us!

The BAVBB is proudly comprised of ten vintage base ball clubs spanning the Bay. Representing the West are five clubs from the City of San Francisco, while the East is represented by five clubs stretching from Berkeley to San Jose.

Each Independence Day, these distinguished players lay aside their club rivalries to compete for regional bragging rights in one of our league’s grandest traditions.

Will the East defend its honor? Or will the West claim the laurels this year?

Study the roster, cheer on your favorite ballists, and join us at Noon on July 4th as history continues at Raimondi Park in Oakland!

Good people of the Bay, gather your family, summon your neighbors, and make haste to Raimondi Park in Oakland this Saturday, July 4th, as the finest ballists of the Bay Area Vintage Base Ball League (BAVBB) assemble for our 2026 All-Star Game!

Witness base ball played in the grand style of the 1880s, where sportsmanship, gentlemanly conduct, and spirited competition reign supreme. Whether you’re a lifelong enthusiast or attending your very first vintage match, there is no finer way to celebrate Independence Day!

A few notices for all attending:
🇺🇸 Ballers Parking lots will be closed. Street parking will be available, and BART and AC Transit bus lines provide easy service directly to the park.
🌭 Mayor Mike will be selling hot dogs! Bring your own picnic if you please—food and non-alcoholic beverages are welcome, but no alcohol, thank you kindly.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Bring your friends and family, but leave your four-legged companions at home, as pets are not permitted.
🗑️ Raimondi Park is one of Oakland’s treasured gathering places. Please help us keep it beautiful by packing out your rubbish and leaving the grounds as fine as you found them.

Raise three hearty cheers, don your patriotic colors, and join us for an afternoon of vintage base ball, fellowship, and Fourth of July merriment!

The Oakland Colonels return at last to their home grounds at Washington Park in Alameda for an afternoon of gentlemanly base ball against the formidable Barbary Coasters.

⚠️ Pray take notice: The match shall now commence at the NEW hour of Eleven o’clock before noon (11:00 a.m.).

Pack a basket of victuals, gather the family, and bring along your well-mannered hounds for a grand day upon the grounds. Admission is free, and all are welcome to witness the grand old game as it was played in 1886.
