We had a blast at our competition Prep camps this past week! The dancers all amazed us with learning 3 dances in just three days, and then getting to show them off on day 4. Way to go dancers! We can't wait for our next camp, Tangled!

We had the BEST time at our K-Pop Camp last week! So much fun learning new dances, meeting Rumi, making bracelets, and having fun with friends! It is officially Recital Eve Day, and we have one final senior to celebrate from our 2026 class, Avery Ginsburg! You can see below what she has to share about her time at DDA, and her future plans! Show her some 💕!

I have danced at DDA for 13 years.

My favorite memories are going to comps and nationals with my best friends!

Next year I will be attending KU and majoring in Sports Management!

My advice would be to not to focus on being better than others around you, but to just be your best self!

1. How long have you danced and how many years at DDA?
14 years dancing and 11 years at DDA

2. Your favorite DDA memory or memories.
My favorite DDA memory was my first travel team competition! I loved when we went to dinner and got to take pictures! And when my jazz character team placed super well at the competition! It was such a fun experience and bonding time for my teams!

3. Your plans for after graduation.
I plan to attend the University of South Carolina, majoring in Biology on a Pre-Med track!

4. Your advice for younger DDA dancers.
My advice is to cherish every day you get to spend dancing. This place is where I’ve met some of my best friends and no matter how hard we are worked I will always miss our Monday Marathons. So don’t take any day for granted!

2. One of my favorite memories was competing tap in the shootout at nationals two years in a row.

3. Attending Tulane University to major in business management and digital design with a minor in math. Dancing on the Tulane ShockWave dance team!

4. A piece of advice I would give to younger dancers is to work for what you want but don’t forget to enjoy the time with the people around you.
