If you've been feeling more impatient, overheated, reactive, inflamed, or like everything is just... too much... it might not just be the weather.
In Ayurveda, Pitta dosha is made up of the elements of fire and a little water. It's brilliant. It's focused. It's ambitious. It's the energy that gets things done.
But when Pitta gets too high? 🔥
You may notice:
• Shorter patience
• Feeling easily irritated
• Hot flashes or overheating
• Inflammation
• Skin flare-ups
• Heartburn or digestive heat
• Feeling like you need to "push" instead of flow
Living in Arizona during the summer means we don't just experience heat—we absorb it.
So instead of fighting fire with more fire, I like to invite in the opposite.
✨ My favorite Pitta-balancing rituals:
💚 Early morning yoga before the sun takes over.
🌿 Slow, grounding practices instead of always choosing intensity.
🥒 Cooling foods like cucumber, watermelon, mint, coconut water, and leafy greens.
💧 Stay hydrated long before you feel thirsty.
🌙 Moonlight walks, swimming, or simply sitting quietly outside after sunset.
🧘🏻♀️ Breathe slower. Speak softer. Let go of needing to hurry.
Sometimes the most healing thing you can do isn't to accomplish one more thing.
It's to cool the fire... so your inner light can keep shining without burning you out.
How are you balancing this Arizona heat? 🌵☀️
