Central Saanich Extreme Fastball Girls Fastball Club This land has been part of the fabric of the life of Indigenous communities long before these parks were created.

Central Saanich Extreme Fastball club acknowledges that our clubhouse and fields are located on the traditional lands of the W̱SÁNEĆ ancestors and families who have lived here for thousands of years. It is with gratitude that we now play and learn here.

🥎 Fun Fact Friday 💚

We spend so many hours at Rom Knott, but have you ever wondered about the person behind the name?

Rom Knott was a local sportsman and coach from Brentwood Bay. After he sadly passed away in 1964, his family and friends purchased the land in his memory so local kids would have a place to play.

All these years later, our kids are still there—learning the game, finding their confidence and making friendships. What a special gift he and his loved ones have left our community 💚

Today, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we pause with open hearts to listen, learn and remember.

We honour the Survivors of residential schools, the children who never returned home, and the families and communities who continue to live with the lasting harm caused by this painful chapter in Canada’s history.

As an association that brings children together on the traditional territory of the W̱SÁNEĆ people, we recognize that every child deserves to grow up feeling safe, valued, proud of who they are and connected to their family, language and culture.

Truth must come before reconciliation—and reconciliation requires more than words. It asks us to keep learning, to have honest conversations with our children and to carry what we learn into the way we treat one another every day.

Today we wear orange, we remember, and we recommit ourselves to listening and learning.

Every Child Matters—today, tomorrow and always 🧡

What a weekend for our U19 A’s! 🥇💚

The girls travelled to Kent, Washington for the USA Softball Flame Invite and came home first place with a perfect 7–0 record. Five of those games were on Sunday alone! Safe to say they’ve earned a little rest 😴

We’re so proud of how this team started its new season. They played hard for each other, kept battling through a long Sunday, and found a way to get it done when it mattered. Those smiles at the end say it all.

Congratulations to the players and coaches! A special thank you to the parent volunteers for keeping GameChanger running so everyone back home could follow along and cheer them on! 🙌

What does it mean to be a coach?

It means being part teacher, part cheerleader, part therapist, part weather forecaster…and part detective when someone’s glove mysteriously disappears 😂

It means repeating “Bring it in!” at least five times, reminding everyone to hydrate, carrying enough equipment to open a sporting-goods store, and somehow knowing the score—even when nobody else does.

Coaches give their time, share their knowledge and keep showing up for our players—through the wins, the tough games and all the wonderfully chaotic moments in between.

Happy Coaches Week to the incredible coaches who make it all happen. We appreciate you more than you know! 💚🖤🤍🙏

🥎 An exciting weekend is upon us as Fall Ball begins and tryouts are underway!

We’re already seeing so much effort, determination and positive energy on the diamonds. To every athlete stepping onto the field for tryouts: work hard, have fun, support one another and show us your Extreme! 💚🖤

Then on Sunday, Fall Ball officially begins! 🍂🥎 We’re thrilled to welcome our players back to the field and reintroduce the wonderful volunteers leading our teams this fall:
