We would not offer it if we were not good at it.

I saw a video from a physiotherapist on here yesterday that made me laugh, but it also made a really important point.

They said, when your car starts making a weird noise, you take it to a mechanic.

When your refrigerator stops working or stops making ice, you call someone to fix it.

When your pool pump breaks, you call the pool guy.

But when your body starts giving you signals, a tight low back, a sore knee, a joint that just feels off… we don’t do anything.

We wait.

We wait until it gets worse.

We wait until it’s unavoidable.

We wait until the pain is so high that it finally forces us to act.

And if you think about it, that would be like ignoring your pool until it turns completely green with algae… or driving your car until it completely breaks down… or letting your fridge die and all your food spoil.

We wouldn’t do that in any other area of our life.

But we do it with our body all the time.

And the reason is simple.

We’re not taught that there are options in between doing nothing and waiting until something is “serious enough” to go to the doctor.

We’re not taught that there’s a whole category of care focused on prevention.

On early intervention.

On restoring movement before something becomes a bigger problem.

That’s the difference between prevention and treatment.

Treatment usually happens after something is already broken.

Prevention happens when your body first starts whispering to you.

And most people have been taught to ignore the whisper… until it becomes a scream.

Your body doesn’t need to be broken for you to take care of it.

In fact, the best time to do something… is before it gets to that point.

Eight years ago, I started Restorative Fitness with a clear intention: to change the way people experience movement, pain, and long-term health.

This milestone reflects the people who have made this work possible.

To my clients, thank you for your trust and consistency. You’ve allowed me to support you through challenges, progress, and everything in between. Your commitment to staying active and engaged in your life is what drives this work forward.

To my mentors, thank you for your guidance, perspective, and for pushing me to grow as both a practitioner and a leader.

To my colleagues and partners, thank you for collaborating and believing in a more thoughtful, integrative approach to care.

Every day, the focus remains the same: helping people restore strength, move with confidence, and stay connected to the lives and communities that matter to them.

Thank you for being part of the journey. The work continues.

Did you know your joint health plays a big role in how easily you can show up for the people and moments that matter?

Your joints are what allow you to move through your day without hesitation. Walking, getting up and down, reaching, turning, even sitting comfortably all depend on how well your body moves. When your joints feel good, everyday things feel easier. You are more likely to say yes to plans, spend time with others, and be present in the moments that matter to you.

When your joints are stiff, painful, or limited, life can start to shrink. You may avoid activities, cancel plans, or hold back without even realizing it. Over time, this can affect not just your physical health, but your connection to people, places, and experiences.

Taking care of your joints is not just about reducing pain. It is about protecting your ability to stay active, independent, and engaged in your life.

Sometimes it’s not just your muscles…

It’s your nervous system.

Stress can keep your body in a constant state of tension
making everything feel tight, stiff, and uncomfortable

Before you stretch more or push harder
ask yourself this

When was the last time you actually unplugged?

Stepped outside
Took a slow breath
Let your body come down

Your body doesn’t just need movement
It needs safety

Unplug from stress
Plug into calm

When organizations align around a shared purpose, real change becomes possible.

Today brought together leaders from two Phoenix nonprofits committed to strengthening our community from different angles, economic opportunity and access to care.

This is how progress happens. Not in silos, but in collaboration.

A huge thank you to Justine of for taking the time to connect with and for helping keep our city engaged, connected, and thriving.

Most people don’t realize how much their posture changes throughout the day
Until they actually see it

Awareness is always step one
Correction comes next
