Doctor Quack's HOUSE CALLS

For a lot of people with life, they go through it and they could say this was the highlight of my life. This was the top point in my entire existence. I've had a lot of Great moments in life but this one here will always be one of my absolute favorites outside of meeting my woman and my son being born. This was back in 2004 when I had a shot to become something greater than what I ever thought I would be.

I was just about out of the Army and I was moving on to continue my wrestling career. I just won a battle royal down in the AWA /IWF Tennessee and we were scheduled for the biggest show of this company's existence. This was at Putnam county fairgrounds in front of roughly 2,000 people.

I was at the time going to take on the Mid-South heavyweight champion Sean Dempsey. I will tell you he was one of the most physical opponents I ever had in my life. Our Styles really work together, because we both believed in realism and contact. It's the way we were trained, NO AIR PUNCHING

This weekend was definitely a wild time, I was actually nervous cuz it was the first time that my parents ever got to see me in a professional wrestling match. They Didn't come to many, in fact I think they only came to two. And they brought my Aunt Mary, she loved professional wrestling.

This match here was a stretcher match, it's where you had to knock out your opponent so bad They carried you out on a stretcher. (I'll put the match in the comments for those that want to watch) But this was definitely one of my favorite matches of all time for many reasons. I will tell you at the end of it I came out with three knots on my head. Lot of physicality.

The funnest part though was the rib that was played on one of my students. You'll see him out there playing security guy if you watch the video.

It was coming close to the second half of the show and one of the participants didn't show up just yet. That was Gravestone. He stood about 6'10. He was a giant dude but a really cool guy in the back. And he was taking on Lord Humongous. The promoter went up to my student and said " well looks like Gravestones not going to make it, we're going to have you fill in there to take on Lord Humongous, don't worry kid he'll take care of you"

I have never seen somebody turn so pale in my life. I think he was about to lose his lunch. He was sitting down and panicking for about 10 to 15 minutes and then Gravestone showed up and you should have seen the sigh of relief on his face. We knew he was on his way he called us. But sometimes we like to play practical jokes.

He did laugh closer to the end of the night when he didn't have to take on Lord humongous but it is truly one of the things I will never forget. It's the little things in life that make you laugh.

This is just a small story of professional wrestling that people may not know about. A few people can verify.

Why because he's got a bald head and a beard. Stone Cold was always out for himself and only himself, Moxley has the death riders. Austin would never form up with a group long-term. It's wild watching our legends that we saw in the 90s and 2000s get on podcasts and talk about things with a lot of bitterness. It's like they miss being in the game but this is close enough for them because they can't have any responsibility of what happens today.
