**You may look healthy on the outside. But how well is your body preparing you for the next 20 years?**
After 40, fitness shouldn't be measured by the number on the scale alone.
Your balance, coordination, lower-body strength, and ability to move confidently matter too.
And these are things you can begin paying attention to right now.
đź’Ş **Try these two simple at-home movements:**
**1. Heel-to-Toe Balance**
Stand with one foot directly in front of the other, heel touching toe. See whether you can maintain your balance comfortably.
**2. Standing Calf Raises**
With a sturdy counter or railing nearby, slowly raise your heels and lower them with control.
These movements can give you a starting point for noticing how your balance and lower legs are functioning.
They're not a medical assessment, but they can help you become more aware of your physical abilities.
**Here's what I want every woman over 40 to remember:**
