Friends of Baseball is thrilled to announce that our 2026 PLAY SOFTBALL PORTLAND event is partnering with Portland’s brand-new professional softball team, the AUSL Portland Cascade!

As part of MLB’s PLAY BALL activations, we’re bringing together the Portland Cascade, Seattle Mariners, Friends of Softball, and the softball community for a FREE youth softball clinic designed to introduce youth to the game, build confidence, and celebrate the incredible growth of softball in our region.

This event has become one of our favorite traditions, and with the addition of the Portland Cascade, this year’s experience is one you won’t want to miss! No softball experience necessary.

A huge thank you to our partners, the Portland Cascade, Seattle Mariners, MLB PLAY BALL, and everyone working to create more opportunities for girls in sports.

Npll is made up of 70% players ages 8 and younger in our Lower Divisions (T-ball, Single-A, and Double-A). Come out to Kenton Park to show your appreciation for these young athletes! They are the future of North Portland Little League! The NPLL Snack Shack will be on site from 9am-3pm and board members will be giving out treats and goodies all day. Come by and say hello!

TUESDAY 5/19 - come out to support North Portland Little League! 50% (if you don’t know, that’s huge!) of all dine-in food and drinks, plus movie tickets, purchased after 5pm comes back to NPLL. In past years we’ve packed the house with our NPLL community. It’s a great chance for a dinner with friends, family, or the whole team! Their big patio and the beautiful weather means there will be lots of room for everyone!

Thank you to for hosting an incredible softball tournament this weekend. Spark took home the Silver Bracket Championship in Majors, Blaze won the Bronze Bracket in Majors, and Bandits earned the Bronze Bracket title in AAA.

Congratulations to all the teams! We saw great sportsmanship, excellent play, and the kind of moments that build lifelong memories and friendships

Your chance to play T-ball (ages 4-5), Single A (ages 5-6), or Double A (ages 6-8) baseball and softball is almost gone! Claim your spot by March 15th at NorthPortlandLL.org

All kids ages 4-8 are welcome at 8U Field Day! Bring a friend and have some fun. You don’t need to be registered with NPLL and you don’t need any equipment. Just show up and join in! Tuesday, March 10th, 6-7pm on Pru Pitch (next to Merlo Field) at University of Portland.

LAST CHANCE to register for Upper Divisions! Registration for AAA, Majors, and Juniors (players ages 9 and up) closes on Sunday, 2/15. Final Assessments are Sunday beginning at 9:30am. This applies only to our oldest players! T-Ball, A, AA (most players ages 8 and under) do not attend assessments and still have time to register!

Thank you to North Portland Little League Supporter, Stumptown DJs!  They provide customers with a professional, organized, and talented DJ service that’s simple, flexible, and fun for everyone!  They DJ weddings, corporate events, graduation parties, bar/bat mitzvahs—you name it.
