2026 Heart of Texas ✅😎

This was my heart and soul man. This was every ounce of effort I could muster over the last 20 weeks. We left no stone unturned, checked every box, and executed as perfectly as possible while balancing the other, more important aspects of life. I haven’t felt this often in my life, as in the past I’ve always been in a chase.. but, I’m really proud. Every year we’ve hit another level. 📈

To an amazing wife, who trudged through trenches with me, I love you and couldn’t do this journey without you. Anyone who knows a bodybuilder, knows an incredibly selfless, supportive, and encouraging partner behind them. But I have the best one. 🥰💍 Bri Martin

To a kick ass friend, coach, and mentor, I spent years of my life spinning my wheels, drowning in anxiety unable to make any progress in this passion of mine. A lil Labor Day Weekend recap 😌

1) Teaching Flapjack to read.. 📚

2) Bri and I got to see our nephews! Homies are on a real bulk, bigger every time we seen them.. 🥲

3) Hanging with grandma, aka Morty’s favorite person. Second weekend in a row he’s spent 2 hours straight on the couch with her ❤️

4) Stairs. Lots and lots of stairs at this point in prep. 🥵

5) My morning ritual I genuinely get excited for everyday! ☕️📝

6) Honing in on the details for this years posing routine with Posing Coach Justin. He’s number 9 in the world in Classic Physique.. Absolute honor working with one of the best in the game. 🤝

7) Bri and I have picked up reading fiction and are totally obsessed. I’m halfway through Katabasis in 6 days..😅

8) 2 Weeks Out check in 🫡

9) Bird watching! Bri put a hummingbird feeder right by our bay window and I’m shocked with how many we’ve seen!🐦‍🔥

Only dumbbells or only machines, FOREVER! Which team are you?

Lucky for all of us, we don't have to pick.. We've got access to both. Dumbbells force you to learn proper patterns and have more flexibility in set up. Machines let you isolate and push it to the brink. Neither one is the "better" tool, they're just different tools for different jobs.

The real skill is knowing when to reach for which one, not picking a side and sticking to it out of loyalty.

Down 11lbs and finally free of the bloating. 🎉

This client came to me frustrated.. the uncomfortable midsection bloating, the scale that wouldn’t budge, the constant guessing about what to eat. Just feeling a little lost.

We took a simple approach with whole, nutrient-dense foods, done consistently. No extremes. Four meals a day and a solid snack.🥗

Her energy is through the roof and she’s pumped about the progress! And, she’s stepping into a Pilates teaching certification, so we’re shifting her nutrition into performance mode to fuel what’s next. 😎

This is what happens when your plan works with your body, not against it. 🙌🏻

I like to sweat, it's satisfying. What's important is you aren't aiming for it.

Sweat is a side effect. Hydration is non-negotiable. 💧

Rest day😴 or active recovery🚶, both are doing more for you than you think!

Some weeks your body needs a full shutdown. Other weeks a walk and some sunshine are exactly what gets you back in the gym feeling strong. Neither one is the wrong answer, they're just different tools for the same job.

The only mistake is thinking you don't need either.

A few minutes on the treadmill to warm up? Fine. Get the blood moving, loosen up.. I've got no issue there.

But.. showing up and grinding out 30-45 minutes of cardio before you touch a weight? That's a problem.

You just spent your best energy on the thing that matters least for building muscle. Your resistance training suffers and the part of the workout that actually DRIVES your transformation gets the scraps of whatever energy you have leftover.

To be clear, dedicated cardio days are completely fine. I utilize them in my programs all the time. Long form steady state, HIIT, however you like to get your heart rate up, it has a place! Just don't do it right before the session where you're supposed to be lifting.

Resistance training takes priority ALWAYS.
