Think rest is always the answer for an injury? Think again. πŸ€”

Complete rest can actually slow down your healing β€” and active recovery guided by a physical therapist is almost always the better path.

Here's what PT actually does for you: ➑️ (swipe to see)
βœ… Finds the root cause β€” not just where it hurts
βœ… Builds a movement plan specific to your body
βœ… Keeps you moving safely while healing happens
βœ… Prevents re-injury long term

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Land of the free because of the brave.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave everything in service of our country. Their sacrifice is the reason we get to gather with family, lace up for a morning run, or simply enjoy a quiet moment at home.

From all of us at ActivePT, may today be one of remembrance, reflection, and gratitude. 🀍

What a weekend at the Med City Marathon! πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ’™

From packet pickup and the expo, to cheering runners on at the water station, handing out medals at the finish line, and celebrating in the beer tent β€” we loved being part of every moment.

We’re especially grateful for the opportunity to connect with so many incredible runners, volunteers, and community members throughout the weekend. Seeing some of our own ActivePT team members out on the course made it even more special. πŸ‘

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, said hi, shared their story, or trusted us to be part of their training and recovery journey. Rochester’s running community is something special. 🫢

Already counting down to next year!

An evening with our local Nurse Practitioners. 🩺
Our team led a night of clinical education at Workshop Food Hall β€” four PT topics, one great room:
β†’ Heather on pelvic health
β†’ Kaitlyn on shoulder differential dx
β†’ Sam on dry needling
β†’ Jake on manual therapy concepts
Each session came with a one-page provider reference sheet β€” swipe through and scan any QR to download.
Big thanks to every NP who joined us, and to Workshop Food Hall for the space. Grateful for the partnership in caring for our shared patients.
