The standard starts with me.
If I expect my students to work hard, I have to work hard.
If I expect them to show discipline, I have to demonstrate discipline.
If I expect them to lead, I have to be willing to lead by example.
Our students are watching more than the techniques we teach.
They’re watching how we respond to challenges.
How we treat people.
How we handle mistakes.
How we show up.
That’s why being a Black Belt Leader isn’t just about what happens on the mat.
It’s about who we choose to become every day.
🥋
WE DON’T JUST BUILD BLACK BELTS.
WE BUILD LEADERS.

Out of an abundance of caution, and in alignment with CISD, we will be closed today.
Stay safe out there!

Every Black Belt was once a beginner.
Someone had to teach them.
Someone had to encourage them.
Someone had to show them what was possible.
And eventually, they become that person for someone else.
That's the cycle we're trying to create.
Student → Black Belt → Leader.
🥋
WE DON'T JUST BUILD BLACK BELTS.
WE BUILD LEADERS.

They may not have all the answers yet…
But they’re learning some pretty important lessons along the way.
Confidence.
Respect.
Discipline.
Perseverance.
And most importantly…
Have fun while you’re learning. 🥋

Discipline isn’t about always wanting to do something.
It’s about doing it because you know it’s worth doing.
That’s one of the lessons we’re trying to teach our students every time they step onto the mat.
Show up.
Work hard.
Keep your commitments.
Keep improving.
Those habits don’t disappear when class ends.
They follow you into life.
🥋 Discipline builds confidence. Confidence builds leaders.

Sometimes the best part of martial arts isn’t the technique.
It’s watching kids gain confidence, make friends, laugh, and become comfortable being themselves.
🥋❤️
We’re building more than martial artists.
